I love how small in diameter this little grinder is, makes it very easy to useYou have to have it hooked up to your phone thru Bluetooth to change the rpm through an appBut it does work great

As I'm sure many who buy this are, I was hoping this would be an easier-to-grab replacement to my corded Dremel. For its size I didn't necessarily expect it to be as strong, but I was hoping it would still be able to handle something a little tougher like sharpening a lawnmower blade. I am left with the impression that this would be better as something for those who work with softer metals like a jeweler etc. To be fair, those types of materials are what the product pics depict so I was probably a little too ambitious.The variety of bits is nice, the quality of the tool seems decent, and the in-box USB charging is a good idea. But, the requirement to use a phone app to control the behavior is actually a bit absurd. It's a lot of overhead for what should be a simple touch task on the device itself. How often are you actually tuning the speed or changing the direction?It actually doesn't matter if you think that would be often or not. If you think it's not often (as I would say), it's a bit of a pain in the butt to have to turn on and unlock your phone and remember, find, and open the app just to make a simple adjustment. If you think it's often, are you really going to want to leave your phone on for the entire time you're working just so you can make those adjustments? My phone locks itself after just a minute or two, so if you aren't changing it at least more often than that you're going to have to keep unlocking it every time you want to make a change. Meanwhile your phone is probably getting covered by dust and shavings from your grinding?The idea of making it app connected sounds neat, but turns out to be impractical. For the space taken up by the Bluetooth chip in the tool they probably could have fit two or three small buttons. Two would be more than enough to enable you to increase and decrease the speed and then just make long clicking the power button turn it off while a single click would change the direction. Or you could have a third button change the direction. For the light type of work this tool is doing, the buttons would not get in the way.In writing the review I almost talked myself out of a 4 and down to a 3. With the impracticality of the app to control the speed and direction, it means the primary use is just turning the device on and off effectively making it a single speed single direction device unless you jump through the hoops of using the app. But, regardless of my opinion on how it works and my hopes for the tool, everything did work as described, it does handle light jobs like modeling etc as intended, and seems like its decent quality with a good variety of tips. So, I would still give it a 4.

This is an excellent little tool. I do crafts and using a full-sized dremel tool was difficult because it was bulky, the case was awkward to put together etc. This gives me everything I need to do my crafts, it's easily stored in my studio, and it charges in the case which is even more convenient. I like the finer control it gives me too.

What I love: the variety of bits and grinders. The idea of the case. The charging of the tool. The compact size overall of the set. There is something here for most of my needs. I do have a dremmel set and use it, but this is slightly more portable and compact. It's finer.What I don't love: the app and the case. I do not want an app for something like this.I don't need it. It's annoying to me. The case, well, it can be finicky to remove and replace bits. Overall it's solid and good enough, just slightly annoying.

Charged it and turned it on but after a second of spinning it turns off. Help from manufacturer unavailable.

I know this product is not meant to replace an AC powered dremel or anything but this thing is so much weaker than I expected. When I first started using it, I thought it was set to the lowest speed. Then realized that I can't change speeds without using my phone and connecting via Bluetooth. Which is also a ridiculous concept. Seems like they tried to create a solution for a problem that didn't exist. Just put the controls on the unit itself and everyone will be much happier. Also, the case does not hold all of the accessories very well. It doesn't take much for them to fall out of place. And lastly, the charging cable, while having a cool magnetic connection, would suck if I lost that cable. I'd have no way to charge this device. Another solution to another problem that did nto exist. Just give me a USB-C charging port and everyone will be much happier.
