Who knew I'd be praising frakin' dryer balls!?
I usually don't get excited about dryer gimmicks, but I texted links to this item to my friends after I did about 5 loads. Goodbye environment friendly sheets, goodbye rubber balls, I was completely amazed at the result of these wool balls. The fragrance mainly made for a nice smelling dryer cycle and did not infuse to my clothes (which I like because I can wear cologne or oil or whatever on my own). I also use all six at a time and I'm not really sure if that's how they're supposed to be used but I had zero, and I mean zero static. With any other sheets or balls there were those instances of static. It states it curbs drying time, I wouldn't doubt that but I did not do side by side, stop watch, equal loads to check it out. What I can say is that there appeared to be much less lint.I do not use liquid softeners, I only ever really on more natural dryer based sheet balls. The wool balls are perfect because I can even dry micro fiber cloths because there is no softener being used. My customer printed clothes were perfectly dried safely and there is no staining from the oils. For me to get excited about dryer balls, and even text my friends about it, that takes a brand new and impressive experience. Like I mentioned, I might not even be using them correctly, but the results from using all the balls at once was ticket for me. They state they can last for 1,000 cycles, we shall see, but I can already tell that this was a good investment compared to what I usually use and how they are so far, quite superior.

so far so good!
I just started using these and so far so good! The smell is very nice (lavender) and I put a couple drops per ball, and it's pretty light as far as scenting goes (wish it was a bit stronger), but the lavender is lovely and the clothes do feel softer, and I'm thrilled to be using something healthy and wholesome and not fake or chemically based. One thing that was confusing to me was that I thought the balls come with lavender scent in them already but they were packaged with a little bottle of lavender essential oil so I assumed that I'm supposed to use that on the balls I throw into the dryer. It also doesn't tell you how many drops per ball, so that would be nice to know...I just put a couple drops and I think I don't have to do that each time, just once in a while? If the makers of the product read this review, I would love to hear back from them with some clear guidance on usage for newbies like me! Thanks in advance!

Great alternative to regular dryer sheets
My new front loading dryer recommends not using dryer sheets as materials used on the sheets will eventually interfere with the proper function of the dryer sensors. I use an organic liquid fabric softener in the wash so I wasn't worried about that. But I wasn't sure about how to effectively eliminate static in the dryer. I try not to use plastic as much as possible so I didn't want to use a plastic dryer ball. I did a search for a non-plastic dryer ball and I could not believe this came up! Made from sheep's wool??? Sounds crazy but these things actually work. I use several at one time if I have a larger load or I'm drying towels, for instance. But this is such a great, natural way to handle static electricity in the dryer! I can control the scent using essential oils, which I already buy. I made a nice little lemon and lavender combo which I put in a little spray bottle. It's awesome. I love it!

Soooooo soft!!!
I'm smitten! Is it possible to be in love with doing the laundry? I may be late to the party, but, hey, these little balls are fabulous! I have a very low tolerance for the highly fragranced liquid softners, and I am a full time RVer. My small washer/dryer combo takes a beating when it's hot outside, too. The combination of not having to deal with obnoxious liquids and shorter dry times is a game changer for me. What was the most surprising was HOW SOFT my clothes are... shocking, just shocking. Worth every penny. Thank you!

Newbie to dryer balls
After having my last baby I wanted something nontoxic to use as fabric softener and these do the trick! I still get some static here and there, especially on certain items like fluffy blankets, but no more than I did using dryer sheets. Plus with all of the cloth diapers I'm washing, I think it cuts down on drying time. An added bonus is the included small bottle of lavender essential oil! ... I'm giving everyone in the household their own set of dryer balls, which happen to store perfectly in Nellie's All Natural Laundry Soda cans! I simply placed a label on each can so everyone can scent their dryer balls with whatever essential oil they prefer.

Won't recmmend
Im very disappointed in these dryer balls. I was using plastic dryer balls that worked well for static. I put a few drops of the oil on the wool balls and started my load. It came out with almost no scent and there was More static then I'd ever had with the plastic balls. It would take (I feel) more of the oil than a person could reasonably afford to make the clothes smell good. I won't be recommending wool dryer balls to anyone. Sorry.

No more fabric softener!
Little or no static (if there is, just add another ball next time! ) No oily stains like you can sometimes get from fabric softener sheets 😊 AND, especially in areas were the water isn't hard, the clothes come out so soft!! I first saw these while visiting my son. We did laundry before heading home from vacation and I was amazed at how soft my clothes were. I asked my daughter-in-law what kind of fabric softener she used. None! She used these wool balls! I ordered them as soon as I got home :-) These will last forever! I love them so much that I bought some for my daughter for her birthday!

Unpleasant smelll
The scent of this oil is very strange. I have lavender essential oil that smells as you would expect. This oil has a strange smell associated with it in addition to the lavender that I find very unpleasant. I ended up getting rid of the oil, just use other oils with the balls. I wouldn’t recommend this kit for this reason. I would just get a cheaper set without the oil.
