The bristles are too bulky and soft and it does not run through your hair well to massage the scalp.

So I was expecting this so be all I needed for head massage, but I actually prefer a mix of using my own hands and fingers for a more intense head scratch moment, and then using this brush a tranquil massage. It also helps get shampoo and product distributed evenly. I like to use it out of the shower too, and give myself a whole scalp massage with amla bramhi oil for 15 minutes of so, and use the brush to get the product distributed down the length of my hair and it works great. No pulling or anything because of the oil. I love it.
