Best Boar Bristle Brush I Have Used
I am trying to grow my hair out really long, and one bit of advice I keep hearing is to use a boar bristle brush to massage your scalp and distribute your hair's oils. I've tried a couple of boar brushes in the past, and I hated both of them. I always chalked it up to user error, until I gave this brush a try. I'll try to explain why this brush works so well.1. The bristles are a little longer than other brushes I've used. They are also a little more flexible, and the clusters of bristles are a bit more spaced out in comparison to other brushes. So when I used those brushes, I was met with a dense, stiff, scratchy, impenetrable wall of bristles that never really brush past the outer canopy of hair. With this brush, I feel like it gets through to my scalp, bending with my head shape and the texture of my hair rather than shredding through it.2. Other brushes I have used have absolutely stunk of rubber, presumably the base of the brush, and they shed like crazy. This one has very little no no rubber smell. There were a few shed bristles when I first opened the brush, but I've had it for a month and have washed it several times and it hasn't shed any more.3. The bristles seem to be high quality. With other brushes, the bristles kind of just move around the hair oils and leave a lot of static, so my hair looked like a greasy mess. With this brush, the bristles seem to absorb a little bit of the oil while also distributing it, so my hair looks shiny, not greasy. It is also not nearly as staticky as other brushes. I'm not sure if that's because of the bristles or the rubber base. All in all, I highly recommend it. The wood handle is a solid construction and it feels natural, not clunky, in your hands. I liked that the company sent a small wood comb with it. I don't use combs very often, but you can tell it is equally as sturdy and well made as the brush.

Now i brush my hair!!
I had not brushed hair for many years simply because i didn't want to spend time on it. Even worse I didn't /couldn't dry my hair after washing. Even though i washed my hair every other day, I noticed unpleasant scent all day long from the scalp. I tried different kinds of shampoo to solve this problem, but years passed without any change. Finally, my 3 year-old daughter embarrassed me in public. It has been three weeks that I started using this brush. I had to spend many hours to find pure boar brush(real one), and i am so thankful that i found this and was able to get one!!! To state the conclusion first, the bad smell is gone and the itchy scalp is gone! I've tried different methods at the same time to treat my scalp condition. Brushing hair was one of them, and it did work beautifully !I do not use conditioner, brushing itself made my hair smooth and shiny. I fell in love with my hair^_^The following is what I did so far; Before I wash my hair, I massage the scalp with the comb. After shampoo (plant based), I take some time to dry scalp. (scalp first in case I am out of time) I use the comb to divide hair in sections so I can reach scalp better with the towel and dryer. Then I brush my hair following direction if I dried hair. For the first week, I applied a little bit of eucalyptus oil on itchy scalp.it is not easy to be conscious all the time to keep yourself healthy and beautiful as a mom of three little kids. That is why I feel soooo good when brushing hair because it feels like I really take care of myself. It doesn't matter if i am in front of mirror or favorite TV show ..I just brush diligently and delightfully! My hubby said I look like a person who never ever brushed hair before..because I was so amazed about brushing hair, and it reminded me of Ariel, little mermaid who found the fork as a comb :)I wanted to buy another one for my sister who has oily scalp, but it was out of stock. Too bad.Age 34, Asian, female, medium-long full hair, fairly healthy thick hair

Excellent Service and Great Products - Two Very Nice Brushes!
The bristles are not as stiff as I was hoping for. However, the quality is excellent and I would highly recommend this brush for someone looking for one with very soft bristles.UPDATE AS OF 1/11/18: Natalie, the founder of Dovahlia, sent me a new brush they just introduced, along with a personal letter, which arrived last night. To say I am surprised & impressed is an understatement. The new brush is just what I had in mind, and is perfect for my needs! I also think it is refreshing that the founder of a company would take the time to follow through like this to make sure every customer is totally satisfied. I not only highly recommend both of these brushes, but also the company overall and it's service. If you order a brush from them, you'll just need to make sure you are selecting the original soft one (100% boar bristle), or the new medium one, which is a combination of long, coated plastic pins and short boar bristles. Both have beautiful, excellent quality wood handles. The included wood comb is really nice, too!

Wanted to like, just not a good brush
First off, I'm a male with fine hair that I keep cut fairly short. I've been using one of my wife's hairbrushes for the past year or so, but figured I may as well get my own (that isn't gunked up with her hair products). It was coincidentally Prime day around the time I came to that realization. Lo and behold, I saw this brush pop up for around $15 and like many other Prime day purchases, thought "why not?"Remember I mentioned I have short, fine hair? This brush doesnt even get through it. It almost feels like I'm brushing with air. I told my wife I didn't like it and would be returning it. She asked me to let her try it first, because, how can a brush be that bad (also, she's always in the market for a new brush). Now, she also has relatively fine hair, but longer, and agreed this brush was just plain "not good".I've read some other reviews saying how nice the seller is, how they've received handwritten thank you notes, etc. So I wanted to like this brush to support someone conscientious about their business. But sadly, this brush is just too soft, too light, too minimal contact, even on short hair. I'm going to pick up a cheap generic brush at a local drugstore like I've had in the past that worked much better!
