I've wanted a lava lamp since I was a kid. When I saw this lamp in a vintage spaceship style, I grabbed it up. I've not been excited about getting anything as much as this lamp for some time.Well, the big day arrived, and I eagerly opened the package. It looked like I expected, so I snapped in the fins, placed the nose cone, and turned it on. The instructions said to give it a few hours to reach the proper operating temperature, which I did.Much to my disappointment, the lava blobs never developed. Again, the instruction said not to shake the lamp or turn it upside down, which I dutifully followed. However, those requirements would be nearly impossible to follow when shipping to the end consumer. I have given the lamp three full days of operation and while the contents look better than they did see the picture), the blobs are nowhere to be seen.Because I never saw the lava lamp effect, I rate the product harshly. I also caution anyone who buys one that works to keep it away from small children and flammable objects. The sticker above the power switch says the lamp gets hot, and boy does it.

The media could not be loaded. If it worked,it would be really cool and good value for the lamp I recieved new took out of the box put the legs on it l, easy to assemble, used plug and adapter that came with it and it does not come on at all. Disappointing I wanted it for my daughter. I don't know if maybe the plug is defective but it just wouldn't turn on at all I've tried 2 different wall outlets in my house, you'll notice in video I have plugged into strip, it would only let me take 1 video but I also tried 2 different wall outlets as well, still nothing.
