I wasn’t sure what to expect from this duvet, but the moment I unpacked the Silentnight Warm & Cosy 13.5 Tog King Size, I knew it was made for proper winter nights. It’s thick, fluffy, and feels instantly inviting, the kind of duvet that makes you look forward to bedtime. Once you’re under it, the warmth builds quickly and stays consistent through the night. There’s no cold spot or draft, just a soft, cocoon-like comfort that makes it hard to leave the bed in the morning. The quality is exactly what I’d hope for from Silentnight. The microfibre fabric feels smooth and durable, while the filling has that perfect mix of plumpness and weight without feeling heavy. It keeps its shape nicely and hasn’t gone flat or clumpy after several nights of use. Even my partner, who’s usually the one to complain about being cold, has stopped stealing the extra blankets. The only slight drawback is that this duvet really does run warm. It’s perfect for cold bedrooms or the heart of winter, but probably too much for warmer months unless you like a toasty sleep. I have a 10.5 tog single duvet for use in my spare room but the room gets cold in winter so I bought the 13.5 tog version. Even though the additional warmth comes with greater thickness the duvet is still fairly lightweight and really comfortable to sleep under. It is pretty toasty in winter so I haven’t needed to add an extra throw or blanket even when it’s colder in the room. As with my other Silentnight duvet, this arrived tightly wrapped but was easy to get out of the packaging and quickly expanded out to its full thickness. An important feature for me is that it is hypoallergenic, having a synthetic filling rather than a feather one. As I have a friend who has skin allergies, it’s important to me that when they stay over the bedding is suitable for them. I use this in conjunction with a good quality cover and this affords both of us some peace of mind. It’s also machine washable. As you might expect, this 13.5 tog duvet is a bit too warm in the height of summer but it isn’t designed for use in warmer months so is good for use seasonally. The quality is very good with the duvet being well made and even after washing, no clumping in the filling. This seems typical of the wider Silentnight brand. An impressive quality product at a decent price.

This 18 tog quilt is fantastic, if not a bit too warm, it's only the beginning of winter but I don't think we will have to worry about settling down under this duvet. I would recommend this, if you want to save a bit of money from your heating bills, this is well worth it.

This is a thick and very warm 18 tog duvet that is pure luxury on a chilly night. This is the real deal -- spend the extra money on this quality duvet made in Manchester, England. It is very soft and thick and keeps me very warm. I have a king size bed and I bought a super king size duvet just to have extra material all around me. I have never had such a warm night's sleep without drafts as I have with this duvet. The value for money is extraordinary. I have had other duvets that claim to be 15 or 18 tog but they were not -- this duvet, however, is by far the warmest duvet I have ever had. I absolutely love it. Go for the best and the warmest -- we're in bed for eight hours a night, why not be warm and cosy during the winter? Buy the 18 tog double decker duvet quilt and enjoy the warmest night's sleep you've ever had. I don't know if this matters but I am 6'3" tall, 80 kg and my bed is a king size. I love this duvet!

This duvet is seriously warm — perfect if you get chilly in winter, love sleeping with the window open, or prefer a light sleep setup without piling on blankets. It keeps the cold at bay 100%. However, if you share a bed and tend to overheat from body warmth, I’d suggest the 10.5 TOG instead, as this 15 TOG can feel very toasty with two people. Quality and design: - Thick but not overly heavy. - Soft and cosy feel. - Horizontal stitching keeps the filling evenly spread (no clumps so far). - Puff up time was quick - around 2 hours. - Smells fresh straight out of the packaging (no chemical odour). Downsides: The only real negative is the lack of duvet cover ties. This means the duvet can shift around inside the cover from time to time. It’s not a major issue, but ties would make a big difference. Overall: Fantastic duvet for cold sleepers or those who like fresh air at night. High quality, cosy, and reliable. Just be mindful of the heat level if you’re sharing a bed!

Ich hatte noch nie eine Decke, die so warm und gleichzeitig kuschelig leicht ist. Ich gehöre zu den Menschen, die im Winter am liebsten bei Minustemperaturen im Schlafzimmer schlafen würden - solange natürlich der Körper warm eingepackt ist und man nicht unter der Decke "erdrückt" wird. Das klappt mit dieser Decke hervorragend. Obwohl sie so leicht ist, bleibt alles warm und nichts verrutscht. Und wenn man sich für die 2m-Variante entscheidet, klappt das sogar mit 2 Personen oder auch alleine, wenn man Jemand ist, der nachts gerne im Bett umherwandert oder sich wie ein Burrito eindreht ;).
