I’ve always liked sandalwood colognes and candles, and this one is pretty good too. I could stand for it to have a little more scent but it’s likely enough for most people. I haven’t burned this candle, only having used it with a candle warmer, so that may be another reason it’s not as powerful as I’d like.The jar is pretty basic, and it blends in with just about any decor. If you intend to gift this, it does come in a nice box for easy wrapping.

- The candle has a spiced scent. Sort of like a simmer pot with cinnamon or a spiced hot tea. It instantly gave me fall and winter vibes and filled the house with a cozy scent.- The candle is in an amber glass jar with a simple brown label on it.- The wick is very long and will need to be trimmed before lighting. But it's better than starting off too short.- For some reason there was wax around the rim of the glass. The candle didn't go up that far and there were no signs of it having melted on the way. I was able to wipe it off but it left a bit of a smear on the glass.

I've bought Lavault candles before and have really liked them. This Amber Ebony scent isn't my favorite. It smells a little soapy to me. Not terrible, just not the rich earthy scent i was hoping for. This one also seems to be less fragrant than other Lavault candles I've burned. It looks pretty though - the amber-colored jar matches my fall decor well

The smell isn't as pleasing as some other candles that we have. Not sure if I feel any more stress free after burning it awhile. Rather smallish but burning like I would expect a candle to burn but being small I'm not sure about a good value. I wish I can explain the smell, it just doesn't smell like something you'd find in nature.

The scent is quite nicely balanced between floral and woody. It is relaxing and would be great in front of a fireplace on a crisp autumn evening. It is not overpowering but is noticeable. I used it in a large room and it threw pretty well.The jar is attractive, for sure. It is different from many jar candles in that there is no lid of any kind. I suspect the scent would last longer if it had a lid. I'm not entirely sure why they would give it such a long wick but it was about twice as long as most candle wicks. The packaging is minimal. It is a small double-walled recycled cardboard box with no padding inside. I would want to supplement the packing if I was shipping it as a gift.I have been impressed with how long it has burned for such a small jar candle. It looks like it will end up being in the 45 hour range, not bad for such a small jar.

I like sandlewood as a scent and this candle smells nice. I have it in my 100sqft office so it's nice for a small space. The aroma isn't too powerful even having it right behind me, but it is enough to permeate through the room. I don't know if I'd say it is slow-burning because I've only lit it for a total of 8-10 hours and it's already halfway down the jar. Maybe that's a slow burn for this size though.
