Fantastic piece of kit, but a bit bulky
I was on the fence on how good this would be, but the price was dropped to £235 so I hit order to try it. I’ve given the watch 5 stars because I love its form and style, when you get it out the box it’s feels solid and it’s genuinely a lovely bit of kit. The strap is nice, soft & flexible, not a tough stiff rubber one, so very comfy. The display is beautiful and the preloaded watch faces are nice , my favourite being the one it’s advertised with. There are loads more available on the app, some free, some £1.99, which is quite reasonable really. It’s Easy to set up, I’ve used the Zepp app before and it’s actually really good, so that was no issue. The controls on the watch, choice of using side buttons or touch screen are very responsive, honestly the watch is amazing and for the money, pretty mind blowing value. However, there is a couple of things that I wasn’t totally sold on - 1st is the size, I like bigger watches but it is chunky and although it’s not too heavy on the wrist, it is big and I did catch it on a few things, maybe a bit too big for me , but that’s me, maybe not you. The other thing that did t work as wall for me was music control for the phone / I use a Bluetooth speaker at work almost everyday and having control of tracks and volume on my watch is a big thing for me, so I don’t need to get my phone out all the time. This watch has that function but it isn’t too slick, it wants to always control music on the watch primarily and so it’s 3 or 4 clicks in the menus to get to phone music control. In the end I actually returned the watch because the apple watch does that function really beautifully (Spotify app on the watch) and a few other integrations like messages and emails on the Apple Watch were sleeker. But don’t let that put you off - I actually prefer this watch to the Apple Watch, but for a couple of functions that I use every day , I’d have kept it.To sum up, it’s a beautiful thing, I love the look, feel, quality. Just a bit big for me and a couple of key functions that I use just not as user friendly as Apple Watch. Really tough decision to return it, still not sure I’ve done the right thing!

Enjoyable, affordable to much more expensive watches
I can’t deny it - I buy too many smartwatches. I’ve owned a lot of them. I own a lot of them right now!I have a Garmin Fenix 7 Pro Solar and an Apple Watch Ultra, and this watch compares well to them. The screen and battery life are top tier. They are both very good. The watch came charged on 75 percent and after 5 and a half days it has only dropped 18 percent. The strap is nice with plenty of adjustment. The watch is big. I like that - but it might not fit on smaller wrists or those that prefer a smaller watch. The watch interface is easy to use and there are plenty of choices of watch face.I can’t speak to accuracy of the data. I’ll wait for some of the more serious reviewers online to check the GPS, Sleep and Readiness scores. Initial impressions are good though. It feels accurate even if I can’t measure it correctly. The only negative, and it’s small, is the app feels a bit crappy in comparison to Garmin, COROS, Oura, Ultrahuman, Whoop etc. It doesn’t feel as polished and the quality of the content in the user interface isn’t as high. When you read what the watch is trying to tell you it’s often confused and feels translated to English rather than being written by a native speaker.Don’t let that put you off though. This watch feels right up there.

Brilliant smartwatch. A worthy rival to Garmin.
I was looking at getting a Garmin Epix or Fenix but I found this one recently. It does everything I need. It tracks my swimming lengths and gives a crazy amount of detail in the breakdown stats. Great for mapping my cycles as well.Screen is great, very bright and easy to navigate via the touchscreen or with the buttons. I’m not the biggest fan of the octagonal face but once it’s on you focus on the round screen. Would be nice if they kept the round edge as well like the previous model.TRex is a pretty daft name as well but it not emblazoned all over the watch. Works seamlessly with my iPhone and the Zepp app does everything I need it to do. I’ve only scratched the surface of it but I find it fantastic and for the price it’s great value. Forget your overpriced Garmin, get one of these.

Great watch but...
I like this watch. My previous watch was a Galaxy watch 4 Classic. The only reason for buying this was its amazing battery life, way better then the Classic. But I ended up reverting back to a galaxy watch. Not because the Amazfit went wrong but it just lacked in small things. For example, I use my alarm several times a day (For work), So its important for me to know the alarm is ready for the next time. The difference between the 2 watches is that the Classic will show the next time the alarm is due to go off, but the Amazfit only indicates that the alarm is set, not the time its due to go off (minor gripe i know). The other thing with this watch is the customisation, its non existent. Sure there's plenty of watch faces to download but you cannot customise them to show what info you want to see, not on the free ones anyway, not sure about the paid for faces. I don't use a smart watch for any health or fitness tracking etc, I turn all that crap off. I use it for Time, Alarms, Weather, notifications, todo etc. unfortunaley for the Amazfit you cannot remove the steps display or heart rate etc.
