Collectible die cast cars
This Hot Wheels collectors set contains a set of 5 detailed die cast 1:64 scale classic cars from Japan. The attention to detail is great right down to the real tires .The set comes with its own stylish collectible display case which can be used to either display or store the cars. The cars feel well-made with excellent paint jobs and realistic detail. Together with the collectible packaging which is sturdy and attractive and perfect to display the vehiclesOverall I think this is a beautiful display set of authentic looking cars. I am not a collector but I appreciate the fine detail and workmanship. I would recommend these only however to the serious collector of these cars as it’s possible to get cheaper without the level of detail in these cars. I do however appreciate the level of quality and presentation however that has gone into this.

This car set is fantastic; it is ideal for my child. The various cars are perfectly sized, and he enjoys playing with them frequently. He knows where they are located throughout the house and can easily find them without any difficulty.

Awesome pack of classic JDM cars, all of which live up to the other premium hot wheels models.
This is the latest set of the Japan Historics from Hot Wheels and the five cars arrive in an appropriately sized pink cargo container as shown in the product listing’s images. The outer cardboard box has a couple clear security seals on the ends and is made to mimic the included shipping container with some extra information printed onto it. The rigid plastic container itself has some theme appropriate graffiti on the door that pops open and inside the five cars are held securely between some moulded plastic inserts. The door can be popped out entirely from the container and set aside if you want the cars inside to be visible and it can be stacked with the other sets that arrive in similar containers/display cases. The cars in this set are very nicely made and entirely live up to the reputation of the other Hot Wheels premium cars and other shipping container style releases they’ve done in the past. You’re getting the whole set for a little cheaper than buying them individually, though you are technically missing the chase car from the set, which is just a low-number production recolour of an already present car. It’s a black version of the Prince Skyline GT and the chances are high that it costs more than this entire set due to the scarcity.Obviously if you’re someone who’s more into collecting the unopened models this particular version of the set isn’t the best option as there isn’t really a proper sealed package like the individual models. I’ve got no real issue with them coming without their own individual blister packs and I appreciate that they’ve tried to go along with the theme with the container many of these cars would’ve been put into for importing. No complaints with this, if you or someone you know is into JDM cars or just premium Hot Wheels cars in general these would make a fantastic gift.

Priced for the collector perhaps
I am not an expert in Hot Wheels cars but whilst this set of 5 cars is nicely presented in a display case, the cars themselves do not look particularly unique in their build and design quality. They are 1:64 models of 5 Japanese historic cars and include a 1964 Prince Skyline GT, a 1972 Toyota Corolla Levin, a Nissan Fairlady Z (which seems to date back to the early 70’s when badged as a Datsun), a 1973 Honda Civic Custom and a Mazda RX-3 (which also dates back to the early 70’s). As with other Hot Wheels cars the finish is good and they of course run well on smooth surfaces. However apart from that there does not appear to be any other distinguishing features.I had hoped that my Grandson would find fun with them but his Dad believes because of the way they are priced that they would be better to be saved as a collector’s item. I am not too convinced but we will see over time.
