These worked very well!! The only downside is that you can’t get an even pour and you have to be sure it is placed on a completely flat area or one side will pool to the other. The quality was amazing! No melting or warping.

I was looking for the large cell size silicone mold preferably 5.5-5.6mm. This mold was advertised as 5.4mm but really this is 5.2mm, if I needed small cell size mold I would keep it

Just tried this quick to see if this was really plausible. This is my very first try, and yes, I did make a small mess, drip down the cabinets and get wax on the floor and my hands. That being said, aside from a little practice getting the foundation filled and a little more even, this did in fact work.I am not sure how practical this is vs buying, but I like being able to produce my own stuff if I need to. I will cut these into four section and use just a strip per frame to get my bees going in the right direction, and let them fill in.There is no lip on the edge so excess will flood out, so “bee” prepared to catch it. I think the trick was a little better coverage and letting it cool just a little before rolling the top silicon mold across.Neat item as I had never considered making these myself.

I'm excited to make my own foundation. I ordered some beeswax and some blank frames so I'll be ready in the spring.I looked up some videos as well, to be comfortable with the method. But it looks fairly easy just from their brief instructions.Since I've never made my own before I don't have anything to compare it with so I can't yet speak to the quality of this item.It looks good to my untrained eye.I'll add more detail if it is going to change my rating next spring.
