Went together fine. Mounted on a board. Light is supposed to last for "8000 hours" or something. Using it in a cold plunge. The small stainless 6w unit. Just cleaned it last week. Took the bulb out of the housing and it is maybe 1/2 lit now with blackish marks internally. Now I cannot see how or where to order a new bulb. So now what? Redo it with another? Nope.

I have used many types of uv sterallization over the years in fresh and salt water. I was worried that the product did not have a way to tell if the bulb was still working but they cleverly use translucent hose fitting, and you can see the light coming from the in and out ports. Not seeing uv directly, the translucent plastic blocks out uv but passes a cyan light in the visible spectrum that is essentially a waste product when the bulb is in use.

Well some reviews said that this particular u v light would be leaking at the inlet I have used some thread sealer and still have a leak what should I do , it does work great if I just cant stop the leak

Unit was cheaply built but seemed like it would work for a low cost UV sterilizer. 5 gallons of water on the floor later, and I would recommend only to sell this as a joke to someone you hate. Connectors are made so poorly that they won't interface with standard silicone tubing. They are meant to, but not sized with tolerances that are appropriate to do so. Save your money, and buy a UV sterilizer from an actual manufacturer.

Lo acabo de instalar y espero que funcione bien. Pero noto que tiene un sonido bastante incómodo. Al parecer es el muelle que soporta la luz.

I wanted this to use with our 90 gallon cold plunge tub. The fittings supplied easily connected into my existing ½” plumbing. With just a simple flip of the switch, the UV light was up and running. It is obvious that the UV is helping keep the water sanitized. We have been using UV light for decades with our washing machine…so we understand exactly what this does. I do keep this entire assembly insulated to help keep the 45 degree water from making it sweat/condensate. So far, we are very pleased with this well-made unit! Thanks! NOTE…this unit is NOT designed to operate underwater! Do not submerge it! It is designed to be in a dry location…just plumb the water to and out of it!
