The dish is much lighter weight and smaller than I expected. It definitely slows him down, but he might have tongue cramps getting to the food. I'm using it as a liner for a bigger bowl. We'll see if he destroys the thing.Update. First meal, ate as much as he could, then carried the combined bowls across the room and dropped them, spilling all his food all over the floor. Useless.Another update. Took it out of the other bowl, thinking it would be harder to pick up. No, he did it first try, carrying it elsewhere. At least that time it didn't get tossed. But I fear leaving this in his pen if I'm gone. Highly destructible.Final update. He flipped and it landed upside down on a drain, losing the food and maybe his medicine. Done.

My puppy was such a fast eater. 16 months old and could clean her plate in 1 minute. I feed her raw diet. Received the bowl today and just used it . AMAZING . Plastic had 0 smell and she had to work for the food. I only wish I had found this sooner. Thank you.

Keeps my 5lb chihuahua from inhaling his food. I was worried that the channels would be too large and not effective because his little snout could easily fit between them but I was pleasantly surprised at how effective this slow feeder was. I cook for them using a lean meat source, vegetables and low sodium broth to add more moisture to their diet in addition to limited ingredient dry kibble. This is the second slow feeder bowl that I’ve ordered and this design has worked out the best.

This pet dish will slow down your pet from eating his/her food like it's the first meal they've had in weeks. I liked the dish very much and wanted to keep it, but unfortunately, my husband didn't and he asked me to return it. I know when to pick my battles. I'm giving him this one. ;)

We added a new rescue dog to the family and he was eating way too fast and just inhaling his food that it made him throw it up on many occasions. Our vet recommended we try a dish like this that makes him slow down his eating and it works! No more throwing up and I enjoy watching him "enjoy" his food and actually tasting it instead of just gulping it down

I like that it does help my dogs to eat slower. However, one morning a bowl got left out after they finished eating on one of the dogs chewed on it. Now we can still use it but it’s a bit messed up. Also it’s not the easiest to clean. I don’t like that the skid resistant pieces are unattached. This bowl does hold a lot of food at one time and , like I previously stated, it does encourage slower eating which is why I do like this dog bowl.

I needed a water bowl that our dog couldn't gulp water from. He always gulped water to fast and then threw it up right after. He has been using this for 3 days now and hasn't thrown up any water yet. I consider this to be a real success.

I have a small chihuahua and at first was skeptical, but it has slowed her eating and she is not choking on her food anymore, sometimes she gets irritated and needs a break but she gets all the food out eventually
