Biochar Soil Amendment by Pocono Bio Ag, Builds deep Rich Soil Supporting Microbial Life and fungal Activity Using Carbon, enhances Nutrient Density Through Mineralization and biomimicry

I have been using this product for a few years now, and I will not plant anything without it, especially if I am planning to eat it. I am so glad that it is now available online, and that with Prime shipping I can have it delivered right to my doorstep!Biochar is like nature's "miracle grow" without the chemicals in regard to physical plant growth. In contrast to using chemical fertilizer on the other hand, plants not only grow bigger and faster, but more importantly, they become much more nutrient dense because of the increased microbial life in the soil. You can't just see the difference. You can taste it!Attached is a photo of a rhubarb plant that I recently transplanted. This photo was taken about a month and a half after planting a piece of root that was cut from an established plant. I surrounded the root with Gold n Black, and then simply filled it in until it was covered with the preexisting soil from my garden bed. I was amazed to see that this plant grew to the same size as my established plant, which I planted 4 years ago. I did not use Gold n Black when I planted the first plant (in the same garden bed), and it took 4 years for it to finally take off. Last year it only produced 3 scrawny shoots in its 3rd year in fact. I expected to see a difference with the biochar, but I did not expect to see this new plant grow just as large as my established plant in just over a month's time!The best part is that I do not have to worry about re-fertilizing the soil every year. Once the amendment is in there, it it self sustaining and its benefits will only get better over time. Admittedly, I do not have the greenest of thumbs, nor do I have a lot of spare time on my hands, so for me it is well worth the investment of time and money to amend my soil once and not have to worry about it again!

I'll let the pictures explain what I was looking for when I purchased Gold N black Biochar soil builder. What I was really seeking was root builder and wow- did it deliver! These pictures are of three Butter Nut squash plants 4 days after emergence planted in 3" pots they showed robust growth the very next day after being potted on. I generally buy another brand of biochar but thought I would try this one because it sounded promising & a lesser price.The bag says this product is 10lbs & I bought two bags. Both of my bags weigh a little over 6lbs each. 6lbs is a far cry from the advertised 10lbs.I use this in my organic raised beds mixed in with compost and various other organic soil amendments. I use weight for combining all my ingredients & that is why I weighed each bag.Each time I have mixed up a batch of this I keep finding egg shells in it.......it seriously makes me question what is even in this stuff. Both bags are a much lighter brown color than the compost that I’m mixing it in with.My previous biochar purchase was higher priced but I had never found egg shells in it & it was always very very black in color & very consistent looking........I really wished I had just returned these two bags instead of using them but I’m seriously pressed for time for get all of my raised beds topped up & tucked away for winter.I won’t order these again & wished I hadn’t wasted my money on something that I’m really not sure what is even in it.........

I have not used the product yet, but am anxious to see if it helps my lousy soil.

I wanted to make my own but then I found this and it excels.

I manage a farm and garden store. Out of all the amendments we sell and I have tried this is literally the most amazing.

The ad clearly shows the label on the bag as 96 sq ft per bag to 4 inch depth. But the bags I received the label says 37 sq ft per bag to 4 inches. Which simple math says will cost me 3x more per square foot to get enough product to cover to 4 inches. So what is it? 3 stars for now in case the supplier can resolve, could go lower or higher depending on the answer, or lack thereof.Update: 1 year later no resolution. So 1 star.

DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE. The word BIOCHAR is used to scam people think it has biochar. But product has ZERO wood burnt material. Do not buy. Waste of money.
