Great sound, simple design, and still worth it
I’ve used the Sennheiser CX 300 II for a while now, and honestly, they’ve reminded me how good wired earphones can still sound. The first thing that stands out is the clarity. Music feels warm and detailed, with bass that’s full but not overdone. They’re also very comfortable. Once you find the right ear-tip size, the fit is snug and blocks out a surprising amount of outside noise. I can listen for hours without any ear fatigue. The wire is thin but flexible, which helps with comfort and portability. It can tangle if you’re careless, and it doesn’t feel as durable as some newer braided cables, but mine has held up well with basic care. The asymmetrical design takes a few days to get used to, yet it’s practical once you do as it keeps the cable out of the way when you’re on the move. In terms of value for money, they’re excellent. For a fraction of the price of wireless earphones like the AirPods Pro 2, you get honest, detailed sound that doesn’t depend on batteries or software. The AirPods are obviously more convenient, with great noise cancellation and modern features, but for pure audio quality per pound spent, the CX 300 II still win easily. If you want simple, lightweight earphones that deliver genuine Sennheiser sound without breaking the bank, these are a smart buy.

... these in-ear headphones for a month and I'm really happy with my purchase
I've now owned and used these in-ear headphones for a month and I'm really happy with my purchase. I bought them because I work in an office with a single communal lunch room and I like to study while I'm having my lunch. It's so noisy you can hardly hear yourself think so I tried using a pair of Apple in-ear headphones and combined it with a white noise app that bellowed the sound of an air conditioner into my ears. It was useless as I could still clearly hear the racket around me so I tried my luck on a pair of Sennheiser CX300 II's and I'm so glad I did! These headphones are fantastic for reducing the external noise as they fit inside your ear canal using the supplied rubber fittings. Three different sizes are supplied (small, medium and large) with the medium already attached and this fits me perfectly. My wife has very small ears and the small size fits her ears well. Next, the sound quality is surprisingly brilliant for any application, a good range of base and very well balanced. If you like listening to music with lots of bass or like to listen to podcasts you'll be equally satisfied. The build quality I would say is very good too, no problems in that department and I'm very happy. 2 year warranty is supplied so I'm sure all will be well in case of a fault. It comes with a small pouch to keep your headphones in and that's a nice touch. Just to balance the review with negatives; I find my headphones are always tangled up when I take them out of the small pouch, no knots but I have to spend a minute to untangle them every use. Also the design is the right headphone lead is much long than the left, rather than both being the same length to the join. It means you could plug one ear in or loop the right lead round the back of your head. I'm not a particular fan of this design but that's a personal preference and I can see the benefits. Just to sum up - quality in-ear headphones, very comfortable to wear for extended use and amazing all-rounder sound. Can't go wrong at this price.

Good with some reservations
I bought these to replace the earphones originally supplied with my iPod. After 4 years almost daily use the original iPod earphones had gone intermittent. These Sennheiser ear-phones are very good, but I do have some caveats and reservations. Firstly it is essential to wear them as far into the ear-canal as reasonably possible. If not the bass will appear weak. To aid this Sennheiser supply three sizes of covers. Secondly with using them properly, I think some may find the bass is somewhat excessive. I got a reasonable compromise my adjusting the setting on my IPod Classic to reduce the bass. This gives a reasonable level of bass without it being too excessive. With time however I have changed my view and feel that the bass is actually very good and extended (you really can hear bass organ notes). The treble is very good - I'm hearing tape hiss from old analogue recordings that I haven't heard for years. The stereo sound stage is good, provided the earpieces are worn as intended. Sound isolation I find to be far superior to the original Apple earphones supplier with my IPod. I would hazard a guess that the isolation has been improved by at least 10dB. Listening on a bus or train or plane is certainly much more pleasurable and they certainly enable you to concentrate on the music and not the noises around. From a safety point of view, I think the level of isolation is such that it would not be safe to use these when cycling or anywhere where you need to hear traffic or similar. The original Sennheiser packaging is difficult to open - like breaking into fort knox! I used a very sharp kitchen knife - but be careful you don't cut yourself in doing so. The little wallet for storage is hidden out of sight behind the packaging. To sum up then. Recommended provided you wear the ear pieces as intended, and perhaps reduce the bass. I am certainly very pleased with mine - vast improvement over those supplied with the IPod originally.

I needed a good and cheap pair of earbuds for a music application on my phone, since my regular BT earbuds introduced too much latency to trigger sounds in real time. This serves the purpose when my hifi cans are too bulky to use on the move.

Very good sound and earfit, but phones are ceasing to have a 3.5mm jack connector. I use my old phone .
