Good handy saucepan
Light weight when compare to other cast iron pots. Good design - wood handle, holes on lid for steam. Heat up quickly on induction cooktop. Non-stick and easy to clean.

Peeling paint
I bought the 2qt pan November 20, 2018, and two days ago the inside paint started peeling off while cooking a soup. I liked the pan but now worried what that paint coat is all about.UPDATE: My 5qt started peeling as well and was hoping this one will be good but unfortunately another dissapotment. My 2qt ( as previously mentioned) peeled in chunks and had to throw out the soup etc. this one I caught on time and took a pic. For the price, I am surprised and refund is only a month.

Well packed; well received
This pan has a good "heft" for a cast iron pan, and we look forward to using it.The wood handle needs to be installed in place and the long screw (which runs the length of the handle) also needs to be installed. These are easy to perform. On the handle that we received, the square cutout (which marries up with the square peg from the pan) had some wood chips blocking the way. Once these were cleared, the rest of the handle installation was easy.

Wonderful lighter weight cast iron pan
Love the size, weight, quality of the pan. I've used it to boil hot dogs, make sauces, make and reheat soups, etc. It works perfectly on my induction range.I'm not concerned about the so called "factory applied non-stick oil" flaking off. When it does, I will restore and re season it as I did with the skillet made by the same manufacturer.WORDS OF CAUTION:1. HEAT CAST IRON SLOWLY! Especially this cast iron since it is thin walled. Otherwise it has a tendency to crack.2. Do NOT store liquids in it. Empty it out when finished cooking. Give it a minute or so to cool down, then rinse (do not use soap) and dry with towel, to help prevent rust.3. Drop in a small amount of oil, and then spread it around with a paper towel or napkin.

Don't believe the hype.
Did not last for more then 6 months, with light cooking, before the pot started peeling.
