These fit your hand, they're comfortable, when the blades are apart they can scale fish or peel your veggies, they can also crack your nuts and open your bottles and cut your chicken bones. Do I care? NO! I care that they are GREAT kitchen shears. They cut chicken and veggies and EVERYThing I ever need from kitchen shears and they do it well. Then, when I'm done, they come apart so that there is never any hidden grossness inside the blade pivot. I can see everything and clean everything. That's all I want, and all I need and these shears do it perfectly and flawlessly and they make me VERY happy. They will you too. I suppose if you didn't have a veggie peeler you liked or a fish scaler you liked you might care about those things. I don't really care about those. Some reviews want to talk about how great the box is that they come in and how it will make a great gift presentation. I don't care about packaging. I throw that away and throw the scissors in my drawer. I care if they are good kitchen shears and they are. Very good. Very great. I feel really clever for buying them and what more do you want than that? Buy them.

6 years and still my best and sharpest pair of scissors

These are a top notch quality pair of kitchen shears. They are very useful outside the kitchen too! I have bought 3 other cheaper sets of scissors that claim to cut poultry but have all broken first time out. I love the fact that these shears come apart so easily for cleaning! In the kitchen I am a fanatic about cleanliness, especially when it comes to working with poultry. I feel very assured that I can clean these shears properly.This year I had to clear out my garden very quickly as we are moving soon. I couldn't locate my garden clippers so I grabbed these shears. They cut through my garden twine for holding up my tomato vines like cutting through butter. They even tackled cutting down my tomato plants including at the thickest part, the base! Of course some of these areas I had to work at a bit but I just marveled about how quickly I was able to get the job done! That same day I went back into the kitchen, and after washing my shears, I cut up a chicken to fry for supper. The shears didn't show any signs of damage! These shears are fabulous!! As of this writing they are not in stock. I hope they come back so I can order another pair!

I bought these on a whim to replace a $4 pair of shears I’ve had for 20 years, and they’re a huge improvement. I can spatchcock a chicken in seconds, but they’re delicate enough and sharp enough to snip chives. An observation, not a complaint: the finish, the final polishing and burnishing, isn’t up to the standard of more expensive shears—but these are cheap, and I can’t fault their performance.

Wife wanted a spare set of scissors for the kitchen so bought these based upon the features. Turns out they are very versatile and have lots of extra features, like bottle opener, scaler, peeler, etc. They are very sharp and do a great job. Most importantly for the wife, they come apart and go into the dishwasher for easy cleaning. The rubber inserts in the handles make them easy to hold and use. The only downside is that the handles turned out to be too big for the wife. They are about 2 1/2" long and an inch wide, which is fine for me, but she feels they are too big. She can use them but prefers smaller handles so it turns out they are my go-to scissors, rather than hers! Bottom line is that I love them and she says they are nice.

I had a pair of Wolfgang Puck scissors that snapped recently right at the pivot and until they were gone I didn't realize how much I missed having actual kitchen scissors that could cut meat and various other foods with ease. I love the fact these scissors come apart so you can properly clean them. They are sharp and well designed, I've been using them to cut steaks and vegetables for about a month now. The handles seem sturdy enough... not exactly sure about the other reviewers talking about them being cheaply made. Maybe they were trying to cut thru bone? Either way, after going through dozens of scissors and hundreds of reviews I decided on this one and it was well worth it.

These are the best kitchen shears I even owned. Designed in a real thoughtful and innovative way. Made of machines stainless steel. Had these been presented to me as high-priced Swiss or German top-of-the-line product, I would have believed it. Instead, they're inexpensively-priced Chinese. I'm impressed.One thing some 1-star reviewers complained about is that the blades come apart easily, but then are SUPPOSEDLY difficult to put together again. WRONG!!! They come together again just as easily as they come apart, you just have to know that the hinge is spring-mounted (to tension the blades against each other) so when putting them together you must press on the hinge's bottom part, against the spring, to raise it sufficiently for the removed blade to snap back on. Unfortunately, being of Chinese origin, the shears come without any explanatory English manual, so this is something one must figure out for one's self.

First off, incredible packaging. Such a lovely presentation box, shrinkwrapped. I'd definitely buy these for gifts. The shears are quite sharp and look great. They come apart easily for cleaning. I haven't given them a proper testing with cutting meat yet, but have full confidence. I gave only 4 stars for easy to hold and sturdiness, as the plastic handles don't have any cushioning, and may not be totally comfortable if I had to cut lots of meat or chicken at a time. So the plastic could, I suppose, crack away from the steel, but that's just a bias toward plastic. These are great quality and will meet my needs well. Very happy with them for the price I paid.
