Bennett Marine AP000A1HA Autotrim Pro - Classic Hydraulic Trim Tab Systems

We own a 2018 Sea Ray Sundancer 260. While they pack a ton into this pocket cruiser, it's known for being a little tough to keep level. We often suffered from significant listing that required chronic playing with the trim tabs, particularly when taking wind to the beam. I was a little apprehensive after reading all the negative reviews, but after a full season with the AutoTrim Pro, I can say it has worked well for us. You must follow the setup instructions perfectly for the unit to program level and proper running attitude, but once it is programmed, I simply set the tabs to "All down," accelerate, and then set the tabs to "auto" once on plane. This works 95% of the time for us and the other 5%, I may have to got to "All up" and then "auto" once or twice before it behaves properly. It may not be perfect, with an occasional slight list, but previously, I used to have my fingers on the tab controls at all times. Now I can just sit back and enjoy the ride. The only negative is that it stays powered on ALL THE TIME. For those, like us, who overnight on the hook (sometimes for a few days,) you'll want to wire it to a switch to avoid unnecessary battery drain. While I'm sure it's not a big current draw, it seems like an oversight from Bennet, but not worth docking a star.

This is actually pretty cool, but not sure that I would spring for it unless the factory switch needed replaced.

Product is great. But it would’ve been nice to know you are getting a dealer kit. So it doesn’t come with everything a normal kit would come with. I had to cut and crimp some of my existing harness and new harness to make it work

According to Bennett (see photo) . ”CABLE ASSY ADAPTER PLUG MATE/LOCK TO DEUTSCH RECEP 12IN” is included in the box but it wasn't which makes is impossible for me to connect to pump v351. I don't know how I can get this cable. I've contacted Bennett but the response was: "This will have to be handled through them, which we will ship the part to them and then they can ship the part to you."
