For some reason the Pistachio model was £20 cheaper than the other colours. I thought long and hard about spending the extra on the KitchenAid and would I get the use out of it that justifies the expense. One of the reasons I eventually chose it was for longevity. It's one of the reasons I bought a commercial Dualit toaster. The parts are still available so that you can keep these things running for years. I've bought no name brands before and when it breaks or wears out then it's put in the bin as there is usually little in the way of support or spare parts. The build quality is superb with metal construction and everything feels well put together. Yes, it is a little sparse on accessories in the box but I would rather have the essentials than a cupboard full of bits that I'll never use. It's also not that big, or not as big as expected, so easily fits in a kitchen cupboard. I've read reviews that say it's a little noisy on fast speeds. I don't find it particularly obtrusive and no noisier on full speed than a blender or food processor. Will be putting through its paces later on today so will update the review as I progress with using the mixer. Was also pleased to see that there are lots of 3D printable storage options, splash guards and other bits and pieces for the mixer.

I love my kitchen aid, would not go back to any other, it is sturdy and brilliant. Does everything I want brilliantly, got the pasta attacment, if you do pasta this is a godsend, saves so much Rolling time. My favourite part is that the whisk and paddles reach the bottom of the bowl perfectly so no dry ingredientes left on the bottom. I highly recommend getting one of these.

First use and there's an electrical fault. Birthday gift down the pan! Hopefully get a replacement. Such a lot of money. After contacting the supplier, it was collected and one was shipped straight away. Issue solved.
