overall a decent pencil. very difficult to get as it is rarely in stock. the rotating graphite is a killer feature. knocking one star off because it’s fragile, and required some repair when dropped. i wish it had a retractable tip like the rotring 800 does.

This is a beautiful pencil, very much like the Rotring 600 in appearance. However, I don't really understand the hype behind it. The lead often breaks in the middle of the feed. This pencil doesn't write nearly as smoothly or reliably as mechanical pencils from other brands (Pilot Opt) which cost less than 5 dollars. The grip is also beautiful, but a much more conventional rubber grip or triangular grip clearly works much better. The clip isn't practical either, and the design of the eraser insert makes it cumbersome to change erasers and lead compared to other mechanical pencils I have. I really don't recommend this pencil except as a collection item.
