I've not used it yet, but the components of this kit looks to be of good quality. I'll update once it's been used.

First time I've rated a product three stars. I usually find the good in a product, I'm not very picky with cheap stuff, but this is particularly sad.Now don't get me wrong, this is a great kit for those wanting to go into bookbinding. It provides everything you could possibly need and more. The quality on most items in this selection are quite nice, and prove to be sturdy.Except for one...I don't know if the book press is made of balsa wood or not, but upon FIRST use, it started creaking. I say to myself, "Well that can't be good, book presses don't usually make sound.", but soon after, a large crack formed in the bottom slab, and ultimately rendered the book press useless.This is quite upsetting, considering I mostly bought this kit FOR the book press. To my dismay, it was the first to go. Maybe the manufacturer can choose a stronger wood, as a book press HAS to sustain immense pressure. However, this book press snapped doing its one job, and I have resorted back to the ironically fitting "book stacking", using copious amounts of books to flatten and press the text block.I do hate to give this a mediocre rating, as I was jubilant that I got a book press AND tools for 50 bucks.But, I suppose you get what you pay for.(But if you need tools and perhaps a "working" press, this kit is a must-have.)

Got this for my girlfriend shes been wanting to make some of her paper back into hard back. She hasnt use it for that YET. but she has been using it to pain the sides of the books and she is loving it for that.

This kit has everything you need to start amateur book binding. I am squishing a book now and have everything I need to take the next step. This product is just what I needed to start making custom gifts for friends and family.

This is a great starter kit for the cost. However, it does not fit all books between the screws. I had to take the screws out and use clamps for some books.

Wow! I love this kit. This has anything you need to create all types of books. I love making my own paper and now I can bind them to look professional. Great for all sizes and very well made. I can’t wait to try it for my miniature books, I’m sure it will work well.

The press did not come with the Wing Nuts to tighten down the top board. So cant even use until I go buy some at the hardware store. Pretty disappointed
