Excellent little reference recommended by a Road Scholar geologist lecturing about diamonds' formation. The book came promptly, in perfect minimal packaging (thank you), and in perfect condition. The book is filled with good basic information, compelling stories about some gems' discovery and life history since, informative sidebars, great illustrations. Clearly written for non-geologists. It's a little gem of a reference book.

All of the Abrams Discoveries are great pocket books to learn something new! They are colorful, have great photos and pictures, and excellent descriptions, and this one is no exception. A great way to learn a bit about something you've always wanted to know more about.
