I absolutely love this series! I’m invested in each alpha macho character having his own story and his missing half restored that finding his soul mate restores within them.😍🥰 Can’t wait to read the next book in this series!

Where Can I Find a Shadow Rider of My Own?
I love everything Christine Feehan writes but I admit The Shadow Rider series is my new guilty pleasure! The Ferraro brothers are uber yummy alpha males and the hero of book 3 of this series, Giovanni is no exception. The premise of this series is that there are gangster like families in different cities around the world with talents for "riding the shadows" that allows them to get in and out of areas unseen and administer "justice" to those who the "law" can't touch. The Ferraro family are tasked with Chicago. Each of the books so far has featured a different Ferraro family member and the search for their fated mate, the one and only person who can unlock their heart and love them for who they are. They can recognize their true love because their shadows "reach and then blend " with each other. As Shadow Riders are portrayed as misunderstood heroes/?bad guys, it is sometimes difficult to convince their "one and only" to give into fate. The Ferraro males are everything you expect in an alpha male; super sexy, rich and powerful. So as this novel begins, Giovanni, who has been injured and thus unable to "ride" has been forced to the sidelines. His job is to play the jett-setting love 'em and leave 'em playboy to distract the paparazzi while the rest of his family perform their enforcement duties. He is bored with women trying to "trap" the rich and famous men into relationships and creates a "game" with his cousins that is designed to turn the tables on these women. As luck would have it the woman of his dreams, a cocktail waitress in his family's club, overheard the rules of this game and is not impressed with Giovanni and his pals. Our heroine , Sasha grew up in Wyoming, and while sweet and a little naive, is no pushover. She really makes Giovanni work to convince her that his player lifestyle is just an act. Meanwhile, the "betting on women game" sets up the mystery part of this story as it is the basis for Sasha's stalker and brings her into the Ferraro protection services. The book is very fast paced and keeps you guessing the whole time as to who is really the villain in this story. I love the way that Sasha is strong and able to hold her own with a cast of uber alpha males, and yet is vulnerable enough to open her heart to the idea of true love forever. And while some readers have protested the pushy, dominating attitude, displayed in the Ferraro brothers, I love that when you look below the surface you can see that they are really men of character, strength and honor. The way they cherish the women they love, their family and people in their territory is beautiful and therefore I can cut them some slack if their love causes their protective instincts to kick into overdrive. But as I am married to an alpha male, I know that to be a "fated mate" a woman has to be strong enough to know when to pick her battles. Sometimes a tap on the head with a rolling pin is needed to get their attention!Christine Feehan has done a good job with her character development in each of the books in this series. With each book you learn more about the Shadow world, the Ferraro family and why they live the life they lead. If you give the books a chance you will see that besides the steamy romance there is an amazing world of mystery and possibilities, guaranteed to allow you to escape from the mundane life if only for a moment. Christine has with this book, Shadow Keeper, set us up for more dramatic and explosive stories to come. Keep reading ! It is well worth the time!

Loved every adventure filled moment
The third installment of the Shadow Riders series focuses on Giovanni Ferraro, the one who was shot and can’t travel through shadows, so his job has become the quintessential playboy in order to give his family the alibis they need to do their work. He hates it. It has caused him to become jaded and cynical because all of the women he meets only want his money or the publicity his family name can provide, never ever him. Sasha is a waitress in the Ferraro club in Chicago and she unfortunately overheard him tell his brothers and cousins about a game that is vulgar and demeaning. A game based on points earned for having women do certain things without being asked or told; they have to offer it freely or initiate it. The moment Giovanni sees that Sasha has overheard the rules of this game he doesn’t understand his reaction to her anger and judgement of him but the fact that she stands up to him in her own way snags his attention. When he later has to rescue her after she is assaulted by other customers, he whisks her away from the club and that starts the whirlwind relationship between the two. She doesn’t take his crap and she speaks her mind and she doesn’t trust why Giovanni seems to be pursuing her. They are both stubborn and strong willed. When he finds out she is working two full time jobs to pay for her brother’s medical care, he can’t help but admire and respect her more and more and he really wants to take care of her, though she tells him how she feels about that quite succinctly. Sasha has had it rough ever since her parents were killed in a car accident and her older brother suffered a severe brain injury. She knows she doesn’t belong in Giovanni’s world but she can’t help but be drawn to him and see beneath his public persona. When a stalker breaks into her apartment Giovani and the rest of the Ferraro family come to her aid and the conflict becomes more complex and intriguing. They have to work together to figure out who her stalker is and it isn’t a clear cut case to say the least. I loved their adventure. The plot was multifaceted and engaging. The characters were entertaining and strong and I loved coming back to the Ferraro family. The series is really standing out in the Feehan universe for me as one of my favorites for sure.

Too many sex scenes
First let me say that I love Christine Feehan and her writing, her Ghostwalker novels are among my all time favourite and I really enjoy the shadow walkers series. The family is amazing four brothers and one sister born with a terrifying ability, their childhood is one of terrible neglect and strict discipline. From two years of age they begin being taught various fighting skills and how to use their ability to travel.through the shadows. This upbringing has led to the sibling banding together, they are fiercely !oyal to each other and family for them, always comes first. This is the third in the series and in each book (so far) one of the siblings find their soul mate and of course being a Feehan book the path to true love does not run smoothly. There is disapproval from a certain family member and danger in the form of a homicidal stalker. The book as you would expect is very well written the story flows and the background characters continue to be developed for when their turn at love comes. Now for the negative, there is a great deal of sex in this book and when the main characters are not having sex they are ta!king about having sex. Christine Feehan is a better writer than this, her books are always a must read for me but in the last several years there has been an increase in erotic content including more BDSM which does leave less page for the action, adventure and mystery it's the same across every series including her Carpathians. If I wanted erotica that's what I would buy, I am no prude and my reading tastes are very wide ranging but I have to be honest towards the end I was saying to myself not again and skipping pages. I expect to get high quality urban fantasy from this author, this is a good book but it could have been a great book

Sexy Shadow World
Once again this author manages to write a sexy paranormal romance I can’t put down. I don’t know what it is but there is some quality to her writing that makes it hard to step away from the intensity she writes between her main characters. The insta-love/lust she has going on *should* make her books chomp down, easy read, throw away things to make you happy, but the characters are usually going through some kind of traumatic time and the insta-love thing is the only thing keeping them sane and safe. This is exactly what happened, again, with this book.As this is the third book in the series most of the world building has gone on before, so if you don’t read the first two books you probably will have a very hard time following the story.Giovanni was shot in the previous book and has his leg pinned together in two places. This means that he is unable to go through the shadows because only very special select materials can travel the shadows and survive, so they would rip his leg apart if he tried. He’s been told he’s been sidelined for longer and he’s fed up of being the designated party time playboy that distracts the world from what the rest of his family are doing when they are out on assignment. When Giovanni meets Sasha she is working as a waitress in one of their clubs that happens to be in their home town of Chicago. He is instantly drawn to her and he can’t stop watching her as she works. When they finally meet he’s in the middle of humiliating himself as being the total playboy character he plays and she is disgusted by him.Sasha is from Wyoming and lived on a ranch until her parents were killed in an accident and her brother was injured and needed a residential care facility. They moved to Chicago where he could get the best care possible and Sasha is killing herself working two full time jobs to pay for that care. She is beautiful, radiant and loyal. She’s also playful and charming, forthright to the point of being blunt and stubborn. She’s an awesome character I want to be my friend. When she meets Giovanni the last thing she wants is to become involved with a rich playboy who doesn’t know the meaning of hard work. But she is drawn to him despite herself.Somehow this author manages to make it believable that these two characters, the ridiculously wealthy and dangerous Giovanni, with a whole warehouse of secrets and the smart, stubborn, poor and honest Sasha can find their way to each other in such a short time. I don’t know how she does it, but every time, she manages it.On top of the whirlwind romance, the care for her brother and two full time jobs, Sasha has to contend with a stalker. Overwhelmed, she allows Giovanni to take over, until she recovers enough to start to show her true colours and she regains her fight. It’s fabulous to read as she picks herself up and starts to really show herself. The characters are rich and wonderful and the plot is intriguing and exciting. It was hard to put down the book and it was a good chunky satisfying read, filled with enough heat and passion to make you need a glass of iced water. You don’t need much else for a decent Paranormal Romance and Christine Feehan really is the master at this type of book.

Quantity over quality.
There is the makings of a good story in this book, it's just a shame it's lost in the repetitive text and sex scenes. I don't need to be told every few pages how much they love, want, need each other etc. I got it the first time. As far as the sex goes, well the first one seemed to have been shoe horned in just because we were part way through the book and there hadn't been one. It was unnecessary, it felt forced, didn't add to the story and frankly felt as if it was being used because Ms Feehan couldn't figure out where to go next with the character's, the plot or the dialogue. Shadow Keeper - not a keeper in my book. So sorry.

I liked it
I have read the reviews about this book, and many of the reviews said there was too many sex seen in the book,I think the book reflects the characters in it .we have learnt in the previous books about how domineering the brothers are and the books reflects so how domineering these men a sexually,I can't wait to read the other's story.did I like this book it has a nice flow to it,it kept me in suspend, over all it's a pretty good story ,I also like that in this story it makes at least one of the brothers think about what is happening in the live of there sister.I have a big problem with there mother ,I think the fact that she should have so much knowledge about what the do as a family and were the stand in the beliefs I fine that the way she goes after he daughter in laws and Nicollet unjust .well I guess I'm still trying to figure out there mom.I wonder who the next book will be about? And when will it be out?And the reason I gave it three stars in stead of four is because of the mother character I'm still trying to follow and figure her out because so far for me there is something missing to me about the character that just doesn't flow with the rest of the story to me each time I read about her.

Too little story
I love Christine Feehan’s books but again, too little story and too much sex. I am no prude, but crikey pages after page after page, we get it they are attracted and have great sex, but can we please have a story inbetween. This happened on her Dark series a few years back and then improved, I can only hope this series drops the ever lasting sex and gets back to the great story teller I know her to be, it’s almost like a different author at times, very disappointing.
