This is a delightful game! I was hesitant to buy it because it is a bit pricey. But the quality of the wooden pieces is high and the bag is heavy-duty canvas. The pieces are printed on both sides, nicely varnished and feel smooth in the hand. I have other games where the printing on tokens has faded or completely rubbed off because of being tossed around in bags and dragged on a table. I don't think that's likely to happen with this game, at least not for a very long period of regular use. So I understand now why the game is more expensive than one would initially expect. Game play is simple. Pick a token out of the bag and either toss it into the ocean or play it on your beach. It's relaxing but has a push-your-luck element as well which makes it exciting. My friends prefer games that are easy to learn and allow for chit-chat and this works perfectly. Scoring couldn't be simpler. The player with the tallest stack of tokens wins! There is also a solo mode, which is something I look for in any game. It's quite similar to the multi-player game and quite fun. The canvas game bag is very study but also bulky. I understand that this makes it suitable for taking to the beach or leaving in the back seat of the car. For traveling however, I think I will put it in a velvet bag to save space. If your family and friends enjoy casual games then this might be the perfect game for you.

A fun, simple game. Not very deep. Just enough decisions to make it interesting for adults, but not so many as to overwhelm kids.

I picked up seaside for an upcoming vacation, but had the opportunity to play it a few times with various family members ahead of time. The pieces are high quality, with enough instructions built into their design to help everyone learn the game after about 1-2 minutes of gameplay. It's simple enough that the non gamers on vacation with me should be able to pick it up and enjoy without needing to focus strictly on the game. It seems to be the perfect game for these types of situations.

This is a really fun game and I love how portable it is. It's easy to learn but then every game is difference. The bag and discs are high quality. I'd even give it as a gift.

Quick to learn and play, enough strategy to be engaging and enough luck to be relaxing and low-key. Packs up into a small bag, literally designed to be suitable for playing outdoors or indoors, like on a beach towel or table. I don’t think it would be very playable in a car or airplane.

Easy, simple, fun little game that's easy to transport AND has a great solo mode, but is still fun to play in a group!
