I bought the Latch-5F from Amazon AU and fitted it myself to our front door. It exactly fitted the holes from our original lock (Gainsborough entrance latch; house was a new build in Sydney), so there was no need for drilling/cutting - just 20 mins with a screwdriver. It worked well for around 6 months and then had a problem. U-tec support was very responsive and after diagnosing the fault, they sent me a replacement lock from local stock (shipped from Amazon AU). Has been fine ever since - happy with the quick resolution :-)

I have been a Ultraloq customer for over eight years now and counting. The first Ultraq lasted eight years with no problem up until last September 2025. I decided to buy this one because I believe the other is old and out dated. I received the new Ultraloq latch 5 and installed it. It struggled to connect with my wifi 2.4GH right from the get go. I finally got it working, but the 0 started acting up, then all other characters started acting up as well. I contacted Ultraloq customer service via email, they responded quickly. After few troubleshooting, they decided to ship a new replacement witch took only four days to arrive. The replacement is installed and running good. We are all happy with Ultraloq products. The app works flawlessly. Highly recommended.

This is a recent but well researched buy. It has great lock features and options. I'd give it an extra 100% if it was NFC enabled. It is easy with the instructions to fit it yourself. However, the internal latch was too short with the dimensions in my door and I had to hire a locksmith to adjust the hole size and fit it because I didn't have the tools to adjust it myself. I have a house guest and it was easy to add her to the security amd she was able to choose her own passcode. There's an enter key on the last row, it needs to be hit to accept a pass code. No issues with fingerprint so far. Two per person is allowed. The lock feature on the app isn't useful, the lock cant be opened from the outside without a code or fingerprint.

NO DOUGHT Ultralock Latch 5 fingerprint lock is an incredibly good, robust, reliable, and durable product, living up to the Ultralock reputation. I had an older version working great since 2017 at my native place in India. Ultralock provides me with a sense of satisfaction that it will keep my home secure. That feeling encouraged me to buy a new Ultralock Latch 5 fingerprint lock for my new home in Canada. Initially, I had a problem with the lock. I wasn't able to get it to be detected by the Lock software. So, I contacted Ultralock. The Ultralock customer support team acted quickly to provide a good solution to the problem, including sending me a new lock. Great customer support! The lock works great and is exactly what I wanted. Now I can walk around with the confidence that comes with having an Ultralock on my door. Importantly, the support person ensures that everything is functional before closing the ticket.

First, I already have an Ultraloq deadbolt which I am extremely satisfied. The Lever lock however is a huge disapointment. The auto-lock is just the worst possible designed feature. And it is intentional. They could so easily fix that with adding custom delays and a disable option in the app. I installed this on my back door, so If you have people over going in and out of your house for a BBQ dinner party for example. you have to go in your app to set the lock to 'Passage' mode. And not forget to set it back to normal operation after. How inconvenient! I returned it and ordered the Schlage Encode lever lock. A manual button override right on the lock and also the option to disable the auto-lock feature. No brainer. Thanks Amazon for a great return policy.
