Great specialty coffee
Delicious coffee! About as fast as you can get good specialty coffee delivered too! For me they were a little far off roast date - if I’m honest I can’t remember the time now, but a couple of months. Otherwise, it’s good coffee, grown and roasted by good people. Take a look at the Tambia story if you need convincing, the coffee is hand planted, hand picked and hand processed, and ownership all the way through to roast by the family who do this. This made great espresso, not too heavy on the chocolate with berry sweetness. Highly recommended.

Two sides to every coffee...
Interesting coffee that changes depending on how strong you make it - like every coffee you're probably saying, but this one seems to morph between being aromatic and fruity and dark and chocolatey more than most. Made at medium strength it's layered and interesting, made strong it's a lot less subtle but manages to be dark and interesting without going bitter and resentful. It's the Jekyll & Hyde of coffee. Who knew? It's very good by the way.

Great coffee
Probably my favourite coffee, a bit pricey compared to other brands but worth it in my opinion…unfortunately it’s popular with my son too ☹️

Unlikable
Very weak taste and smell. I didn't like it at all.

not for us
I'm going to be a little generous with my scoring on this one as i went into it knowing I dont enjoy dark roasts and prefer a more medium roast typically akin to the third wave style of specialty roasters but was curious to give it a go nonetheless. I put this through my espresso machine/grinder and took the effort to dial the shot in properly but despite this costing around £6 more per kilo than the exceptionally top quality fresh roasted beans direct from a specialty roaster in london it was much closer to the flavour profile i expect from a bag of supermarket quality coffee than a high end very expensive one. the espresso was drinkable and with milk for a flat white had some notes of chocolate and a little fruitiness but it was overpowered by a very burnt and acidic flavour from the roast. some people love this kind of coffee i understand, but if i'm paying this much I dont think the quality is high enough to meet my expectations. we finished the bag once the whole thing went into the grinder but were very happy to do so as a household.
