Fiskars 9" RazorEdge Easy Action Fabric Shears, Arts and Crafts, Stainless Steel

I've had and seriously used my last pair for 3 years. These are by far, the best for cutting fabric. Very precise! Very sharp! Cuts like butter without moving the fabric. You are cutting to the shorter blade on top. The longer point on the lower blade allows you to get up underneath the fabric without picking up the fabric which is great for precision! The shape tool 20 seconds to get used to. It allows you to cut on a flat surface without having to contort your hand. All my other fabtic cutters have been relegated to kitchen and office type tasks now. These are the only ones that really matter from the day they arrived. I added a not-great photo of the kind of work I do so you can see the precision and control needed. I call this Shraiding. Like shedding and braiding. I sell them on Etsy in my shop uMuseMe.

I purchased same shears from local fabric store during 40% off sale. Got home and out of protected packaging and the blade lock was broken. Easy return but had no more in stock. Found here for $12 less than discounted price! Arrived quick and in perfect condition. Use for cutting heavier fabrics for curtains and pillows. These spring-loaded shears are a dream for my arthritic left hand!

These are sewing or tailoring scissors. Meant to be used on fabric. The blades are finely sharpened and set. They are designed to cut expensive fabrics, achieve a fine edge, and produce haute couture. Sure, maybe not that great but cutting the fabric is essential to the final product. These scissors should be kept away and used only for cutting fabric. Not craft stuff, ONLY fabric. If you buy these, cut a chicken, trim a rug, and then think you'll cut pieces for a quilt - NO. The scissor's edge and alignment will have been ruined. Go to the $ store , buy those scissor. They are great and I put them in the dishwasher. I have $ Store scissors in every room.

I love these scissors! Having both arthritis and carpal tunnel, i wanted scissors that did not tax the thumb joint. I cut a lot of fabric and cutting with regular scissors was becoming very painful. These scissors have spring action, so you don't have to pull the top blade back up every time. I thought that spring action might slow down cutting, but it doesn't. The cut is very sharp and takes no longer than regular scissors. And not having thumb and fingers into regular scissors holes makes for much less stress on the joints.

These scissors are perfect for anyone who does a lot of cutting. The spring action saves my hands from fatigue and makes large batch cutting a breeze.

Honestly I hope I have a defective pair, but these are not good, to the point where they messed up my project by their poor/jerky cutting. Luckily I was able to adjust my pattern but highly suggest if you try these out to cut on any fabric that isn’t your real fabric first. Unfortunately missed the return window also due to traveling so I’m stuck with them and honestly they won’t be touched again. It takes a lot for me to write something negative about a product, this brand has never burned me before so this is a first.

I have RA and I was sewing my Christmas presents this year. The most difficult part was cutting the fabric until I found these scissors. They are amazing and actually made cutting the patterns out doable.

I love how easy they are to use. I can cut without my hand getting tired. However, after using them for six months, they developed a catch so that I wasn't able to get a full cut. This was very frustrating. I solved the problem by ordering another pair. I can't live without them!

These are great quality and cut all fabrics really well and make cutting out patterns much easier

Excelente producto, llegó en muy buenas condiciones

Leider muß ich das Produkt zurücksenden, da die Griffe scheinbar beim Transport beschädigt wurden (in einer dünnen Plastikversandtasche!). Schneiden geht super, aber mit den Beschädigungen kann ich sie leider nicht verwenden.

Las compré para cortar tela, son muy prácticas, me encantaron. Sin embargo, las he usado poco en el período de un mes y medio y ya no tienen filo, solo en la punta.

These are great. Love how close you can get to the table for straight and accurate cutting. Only improvement would be a hole or or something in one handle so you could hang them.
