Great for Power Interruptions
Everytime the power blinked on and off, the satellite antenna and receiver would reboot, causing a 5 minute delay. Very inconvenient, especially when there was a game on. The Liebert PST5-660 cured that problem and now we dont lose our tv everytime the power blinks off and back on.

Well done Liebert!
This is our third. The first one had connectivity issues with the computer and did not recharge. So let me say that the Customer Service is terrific! When I called, the agent was awesome! She went through simple break fix procedures and we found that it did not meet her test. She told me to hold on while she gets the replacement paperwork ready...just like that. I think it took a few days to arrive. As a consumer, of the things I want to do...waiting around dealing with issues and customer service is not one of them. It wasn't even a test, and they PASSED!Now, for my review of the product, read below:The Liebert PST5 UPS (850VA/500W 120V) is an excellent choice for those looking for a reliable, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) with added features. The unit is well-designed, featuring an LCD monitoring screen allowing easy tracking of power status and system diagnostics. This makes it extremely user-friendly, especially when quick information access is crucial. One of the big features of this UPS is its dual capability of providing both surge protection and battery backup. The availability of eight outlets split equally between surge-only and battery & surge protection offers great flexibility. Additionally, two of these outlets are widely spaced, which is a thoughtful design choice accommodating larger transformer-block plugs without obstructing adjacent outlets. I have no problem plugging in all the stuff I need plugged in. Just ensure you size it appropriately so you are not drawing more power than this UPS is rated for. Look at the aggregate total of everything that would be turned on simultaneously. I say that because people overlook this important step when purchasing UPS.Ask yourself these things as you're searching:* What is the total amount of power I am backing up? - A computer, 2 monitors, lights TV,...anything you will have plugged in to protect at the same time.* How long do I need in order to do a stateful shutdown (properly turn off my PC, etc) when the power goes off?Another plus is that it includes TEL/NETWORK data line protection (RJ45/11), which offers peace of mind by protecting sensitive data lines from surges. This is particularly valuable for those who manage network equipment and telecommunications.Energy efficiency is another strong point of the Liebert PST5. Its Energy Star certification ensures that it meets stringent eco-friendly requirements, making it a good choice for the environmentally conscious consumer. This efficiency does not compromise its performance, providing reliable power backup and protection. The three-year warranty, which covers the full unit, including the battery, is very generous. The advanced replacement warranty included in this package indicates the manufacturer's confidence in the product and adds an extra layer of security for the investment.Overall, the Liebert PST5 UPS is a robust, efficient, and feature-rich option that provides excellent value for anyone in need of dependable power protection and backup solutions. It is particularly suited for home office setups, small businesses, or any environment where power interruptions are a concern.

That irritating beeping (just can't make this up)
"I removed the beeper" / "This beeping every second is driving me nuts" / "Beeping every second is a drawback" / ....etc.....Directly from the manual, and their website: p.17 - Table 3.6 "1 beep every second - The load of devices is greater than the UPS output rating, see specifications page 23"--- Yeap, just can't make that up ----Reading those reviews worried me, then I read the manual online and saw the information above. So; I calculated the load using the labels on the monitor and PS for the computer and this one was well within spec of what I needed.Plugged it in today, it was 90% charged (bonus). With the computer and monitor plugged into the BAT side (peripherals in surge side) the LED indicator says "ONE" bar of load, the software says 20% ~ 30%And.....Other than the POST 'beep' it has not made a sound......... go figure.Don't be cheap folks, Its not that hard to add up the power usage on the labels, always remember to add 20% or so to the number (surge) and figure out how many VA you need for a UPS.Software is okay, simplistic - but IMHO you don't need more (Linux). Total pain you have to register to get the software, but unit seems to work well. Its a solid company with a good warranty; and the batter is a generic so cheap to replace -when- its time.So - Ignore all the "beep" reviews, figure out your load, buy what you need and things should be fine.

Very high quality and protects electronics
Sadly, power surges and blinks are a part of life but electronics do not like them. This uninterruptable power supply has the ability to give uniform power to devices even as the house power varies or goes off. That greatly extends the life of TVs, computers, gaming centers. This device is solid built and has a LED screen that gives info on the electricity .

great buy
Use it for backup of router to avoid internet loss before our back generator comes on after 5 seconds of power loss. So far worked as advertised, no complaints.

Let the zombies eat me if my Internet goes out!
I am the first to admit that my need to “be connected” is probably worthy of an intervention. That said, most of my house relies on my Internet connection. From my doorbell to my thermostats to my outlets (just to name a few), my house is steeped in IoT.Unfortunately, I live in a pretty hostile climate, and the power goes out quite regularly. No power used to mean no Internet, but not anymore! With my new UPS, my modem, router and devices with battery backup keep doing their thing. I might actually get another one to connect to another access point in my home. It would be good if I could keep my entire network up to avoid any dead or weak spots. My only problem with all UPS devices is their size and weight. I don’t want my home to end up looking like the telecom room at my office.Anyway, if being connected matters as much to you as it does to me, I recommend this UPS. It’s easy to set up and provides enough power to keep you up and running even if the outage lasts several hours.
