At night, I like my room pitch black. So when the TV is on, it's really bright and can hurt the eyes. So my brother suggested that I add a strip light to the back or edge of the TV. It helps. It didn't take long and was easy to apply. My suggestion is to take your hand and gently add some pressure to make sure it sticks, not with fingers.

I had a similar set on my 65" TV that I just installed less than 2 weeks ago. I loved it for night viewing, but that one was four separate strips, connected by 3 extensions. On the smaller 65" TV I only needed the two extensions for the parts running down the side, the top edge I just put the two strips directly connected to each other.Fast forward 2 weeks later, I'm pulling that TV down and putting up a 75" TV instead, and of course without that extension to help on top, the old set wasn't long enough. So I had to buy another.This is a bit more of a pain, why I only gave it 4 stars. I liked the small adapters to make the corners easy. This one, you have to actually do a double fold to get a right angle bend. And that makes things not quite perfectly smooth for the adhesion on the corners. I don't foresee any major issue due to that, should still hold fine, but I really preferred one I didn't have to mangle this much to apply it.Plenty of length though - I went up one side, across the top, down the other side, and had to cut off more than a foot still, so there was a lot of room for even a larger than 75" TV.I like the power end on this one better than the last one, just the way the adapter inserts and where the IR receiver is, makes this easier to get nearer to the edge for better reception.Remote works fine, but this receiver didn't quite work as well on the "bounce off the walls" reception of the signal, so I had to pull the actual receiver out at a 90 degree angle to have it work better. Can't see it from in front so not a big deal, and now the reception is fine with the remote's signal reflecting off of the nearby wall so I can keep the receiver out of sight.Bright when you want, dim enough for even dark rooms. This will do what you're looking for.

Think it may have shorted out my tv... had to buy a new tv... my opinion... I don't use these anymore and my new tv work fine...

Install was a little bit of planning on where I was going to mount the strip and the distance it was going to cover. I have a 75” TV and new it wouldn’t make it all of the way around. I had to use tape to temporarily hang it loosely to get an idea on where it would start and end and making sure the power chord would reach to USB connection on the back of TV. When I started the first peeling off of the adhesive strip it literally started to separate off of the light strip. I had to be very careful to keep the adhesive connected to the light strip. Then the corners. I managed but couldn’t do it exactly like the directions explained. The directions were very vague and I just had to figure it out myself. Once done the light strip wouldn’t light up and they lit up just fine prior to installation. Very frustrating. I let it sit for a few minutes and then turned the TV back on and it lit up. However the remote only worked one time to change from pulsing to steady blue and now the remote won’t work. Frustrating and a let down. Not sure what to do with the remote issue but the blue light is cool at night time. Can’t really see to much in the daytime. Will try to contact someone for the remote issue but can’t seem to find a phone number. It would be nice to be able to change the color as the description states.

A friend of ours has the built in version of ambilight and it was cool, so I decided to look into it. I'm SO GLAD I DID. It literally changed our viewing experience in so many ways. Mostly, it gives the feel that the screen is bigger than it is and the eye isn't stopped abruptly when looking at the edge.Installation: I have a 65inch vizio 4d... Because of the shape, I wasn't sure it would make it all the way around. I installed it about 2 inched from the edge and it went all the way around except for a few 4-5 inches before the plug into the USB port. You can't even tell!I read complaints about the sticking issue- the 3M tape has a CLEAR layer of tape between the strip and the outside. If it isn't sticking, it's because you've likely pulled the whole 3M tape off- with the double sided clear tape. Look carefully and that should solve this dilemma.It took me all of 5 minutes to install.The remote's a bit annoying- and has a short range. Make sure you turn the strip off with he remote after you plug it into the tv and then turn it on again. Once that's done, have fun!

I put this on a 65" curved tv. No problem going all the way around tv. I did have to set in about 4" from edge to make it around . Turned out to be a perfect fit. Folding the edge to make the turns worked good . Watched a you tube video to get a clear idea how do this . I read many reviews saying getting the tape to stick was a problem with many of these led strips . Not the case with this one . Sticks really well.( Big Smile) Personally felt they could be a little brighter.(But not a big deal for me.) Now for the remote. I have to get up walk to the tv reach around to the back of the tv to make it work. Huh? Maybe if I let the receiver hang down form the back of the tv it will work .I'll give it a try. Over all good light strip.

They did fit on a 42 inch tv great, but the colors are off.

After reading the reviews I thought it could be cool to put these on my 70 inch Sharp flat screen. I used scotch tape initially to make sure that I have the correct orientation for the USB plug to reach its receptacle. After about 30 minutes I had it secured and then found I needed 2 AAA batteries for the remote, (they are NOT included) and powered it up. Super cool ! I agree with the other positive reviewers and I thank them too. These lights are definitely worth the $18.98. If your looking for a "theater" look for your TV room then you will like these. Enjoy!
