A game changer
I have used animal biome after a recommendation for my veterinarian to do my felines gut biome, testing, and animal biome has been wonderful. Reason being is veterinarians are not equipped, nor do they have the knowledge level of diagnosing gastrointestinal issues when it comes to disruptions of the gut biome. A lot of these supplements people will immediately degrade if they don’t have any effect— I get that. But when you’re dealing with the biome of an animal’s gut, something that is up until now has not been very much explored (no one knows what the base line is really supposed to be in your animal because every animal is different) but we do have what a typical base line should look like for the first time my little girls gut is balanced, and she has no more inflammation. This supplement is the number one reason along with the other number one reason— the removal of CHICKEN from her diet. Chicken is the highest allergy known among cats typically because it’s just used in everything. By replacing their diet with orijen’s tundra and adding this supplement, it has provided a causative cure in her gut. I will likely keep them on this for the rest of their life. It’s only a half of a tiny scoop and it mixes very well in their food. I appreciate the work and efforts of animal biome that they put into their supplements and research for a very uncharted territory with veterinarian offices

S Boulardi is special
My dog has taken probiotics all of her life, and I could mostly maintain her digestion/elimination with what she had been taking. As she has gotten older — 13 yr old bichon frise — her tummy has become more sensitive. I got this just after having her gut biome tested, and treatment begun on Animal Biome. S Boulardi has been a superstar.

Palatable
Palatable taste with a light cheese like scent. The expiration date is over a year out but does recommend using within 60 days of opening and refrigerating after opening. The seal on the jar I received wasn’t intact so I’m not sure when to define the jar as having been opened.

S boulardii is the real deal in terms of clinical data & dog's digestive support, I understand.
S. boulardii is the real deal in terms of clinical data & dog's digestive support, I understand. About a year ago I had seen my big mixed breed dog go long enough with loose stools and occasionally worse... I'd already been giving him pumpkin and sweet potatoes and probiotics galore, and nothing really seemed to help. Anyhow, I forget the exact "rabbit hole" I went down in searching for a solution but it was something along the lines of "best probiotic strain for dog's loose stool", or what have you... anyhow, my digging led me to this "S boulardii" strain of probiotic, which had numerous clinical studies that were actually done on dogs as I recall, and there was an impressive write up on the results, complete with the dosage used.... so I got a bottle of 120 capsules, with 5,000 CFU's per capsule... 1 cap in the AM and one in the PM was the suggested dosage, so I did that for 60 days, and then again for another 60 days. Like so many of these things the benefits were subtle but I did notice a good improvement. So that result combined with the research data made me a believer and now that my dog has been off of it for a couple months, I'm seeing more of the problem again so I figured it's time for another round.... and I'm going to follow the directions on this label here, which is 4 scoops a day, which will in effect, double the dose I had been giving.... from 10 billion CFU a day to 20 billion CFU a day, to see if I can get more bang for the buck so to speak. This is a super high quality, well studied, probiotic strain that's been tested on dog's specifically with good results, from what I understand, and this product is made in the USA, which is an absolute must for me when it comes to anything going into my dog's body. Be sure to refrigerate after opening and use product within 60 days, for maximum potency. Great product.
