It comes with two different blade sizes, which is really helpful for detailed work. The tools are sturdy and well-made, making them ideal for lab use. If you're in a lab group, I highly recommend also getting band markers for easy tool identification—it's a simple addition that can make a big difference in keeping track of your equipment. Overall, a great kit for anyone in vet or pre-vet programs!

Good for amateurs. I used this kit for my second time dissecting, first time was improvised with a box cutter. I saw a few reviews talking about how the scalpel tips don't click when you put them on but they stay on. Mine clicked on very faintly after some wiggling around. Unfortunately I accidentally left some blood on it and had to toss the tip. While dissecting make sure to keep a little tray with filtered water to put the tools in while not in use. It'll help to remove the blood while in use. Afterwards wash them with warm filtered water and soap, then disinfect with alcohol. Make sure they're completely dry before putting away.

I needed this set for a class, and it did its job. The only issue is that the blades for the scalpel do not seem to clip on all the way. There were multiple people in my class that had this set, and they all had the same issue. It was very sturdy even without fully clipping it on, but it was driving us a little crazy at first.

Decent quality, plenty of replacement blades. I'm using the kit for invertebrate taxidermy which involves some delicate work - the fine tipped instruments work well and seem sturdy enough to resist misalignments.

Just what we needed to do some comparative anatomy between a freshwater catfish who passed away in our pond during a freeze, and a sunfish who died of age in my friend's tank. Freshwater vs saltwater, and different diets... Great to have an affordable kit- and of course the clamps are useful in tons of ways outside dissection.

I needed a kit for some entomology work. The ad shows the tools and case accurately. All the tools work fine for me. I've added a few items for some exceptional needs; however, the assortment with the kit is very nice.
