Fun space activity
Cute activity for kids who like space! It does have a lot of small pieces and parts to put together - that can go either way depending on the kid's small motor skills, patience of the adult helping them, etc. It's a learning experience. The adult may need to do more or less of the project to get it made. If you have a science-minded kid, they will probably enjoy this.

Fun for a puzzle-loving kid
The set I received is as described. I think my puzzle-loving son will love it as a Christmas present. He will probably need some help to punch out the pieces and put it together, but older, detail-oriented children will probably be able to assemble it independently.

Educational
I have a grandson who is fascinated by the planets. This is a perfect gift. It is a bit of a puzzle but mostly a way of showing the positioning of the planets in our solar system. It shows our place in all that. This is very nearly a greeting card, but a superb one. Junior astronomers should be quite pleased and satisfied with this visual aid, and I can see them keeping it displayed in their rooms for reference. Anytime learning can be fun it's a good thing.

Meh
I would say this is a one time use thing. And it’s too difficult for my 7 year old to assemble without breaking it, so I did most of the work. Some of the pieces slip off and the instructions aren’t the most clear but could be worse. The mess little pieces everywhere. Would not waste my money on it but it was worth quality time with my kiddo. Paper ripped from foam easily. Foam/paper bent too easily while trying to insert.

Not very fun or durable
This was an easy boredom buster and my nine year old was able to complete it pretty quickly. I thought this would be a fun interactive activity that would keep my son’s attention, but he lost interest as soon as it was built. The planets don’t really move easily around the sun. You CAN move them but it’s not very easy and it feels like the pieces will fall apart with any pressure. This had more value to build and display for a week but there wasn’t much to do with it beyond that.

Smaller than expected
It looks bigger online….so I was a bit surprised to see that it was smaller than expected. It is a great kit, though, and will be useful to teach the solar system to young children and its price point is extremely reasonable. The pieces are all made of foam so it will be fun to put this together as well.

Fun activity kit for kids
I got this kit for my nephews and they loved seeing the different features of each planet / how they move relative to the sun and to each other. It was an easy assembly but exciting activity for them. Filled up a couple hours of our afternoon. Would recommend.
