This lock was perfect. It is a solid option we used it for a hallway door that had not been constructed with a latch handle? Strange right just a wood door with a door knob. Well I found this very simple take’s can take less than five minutes to install. As of course you spend most of that time figuring out where you would like the placement once you have that you screw it in and it is very solid. The security of this thing was immaculate it kept the door shut tight. It is small so you do not feel like you have this oversized door lock to look at. Also, of course very elegant design looked like it came with the home. Highly recommend.

The media could not be loaded. This flip latch is so cute and trendy. Most of all it's practical and innovative. I like that you can just flip it up and down to open and lock. Unlike the clunky, size-incompatible hook and eye that came with my screen door, this adds an appealing look to my door. It's heavy duty, and heavy! I feel I got the most out of every penny I paid for it. I also like that it holds the door secure and locks it in place. If there was any complaint, it would be trying to align it properly especially if the door doesn't flush right on the door jamb. You'll need another pair of hands to push the door flat to get the proper alignment and distance between the latch and the catcher. I also considered the placement (see photo). As some reviewers mentioned, there is a groove that cups the latch in place and can catch and trap water from rain, so I installed it a little higher just above where the recommended location should be. So far, it's been "safe" from the rain and had been dry in spite of several storms that we've had the past weeks. I'm very pleased with this and woud be my first choice when I need another latch system in the near future!

Only issue for me was where to place it on the gate. Works well.

Sturdy and serves its purpose

Excellent quality and easy to install

I love this latch. HOWEVER, it is important to note that it is not symmetrical. So if you line it up, then put it down and drill your holes, make sure that you have it oriented the exact same way when you install it with screws. I did not notice that one end is longer than the other. So when I measured, drilled, then installed, I couldn’t figure out what I had done wrong when the latch didn’t lineup. After several minutes of head scratching, I realized my error. Hopefully I save you some time and frustration.

This is a good lock but the glowing isn’t very bright, it is really hard to see in the dark.
