Update:I declined the seller's 10% discount offer towards another pair of chairs a few days back, but noticed they anyway went ahead and refunded $10, which I didn't ask for. They were sympathetic and asked if there was anything else they could do. I will still keep the original review below, but their customer service was excellent. I am still on the fence whether to buy a new pair or not, but if I do, I would buy from them.Assembled them no problem, as we had a kid chair that was the same design. The tricky part of this design is that the base of the chair seat is curved, and you have to align the 4 metal legs to somehow lie perpendicular to the surface of this curved surface.I did that, and they were aligned pretty much perfect. I asked my husband to tighten harder (as I wasn't sure if they were tight enough - you use a small allen key to tighten). He lightly sat on it (he's about 180lbs), then tighten the legs using the supplied allen key.What we suspect happened was perhaps the legs got misaligned when he sat on it (not sure) but when he sat down again after tightening the legs, the seat cracked. Attached the photo.The crack is small but has rugged edges and very uncomfortable to sit. It's one big piece of plastic, so we couldn't use it as is.We really were not sure if we did the aligning correctly, or something was defective. We contacted the seller and asked to send us the replacement chair base at our cost, or if that's not possible, a chair. We offered to cover the cost as it may well be our fault.The seller was responsive and sympathetic, but could only offer a pair of new chairs and not just a chair base. They did offer a 10% discount, but they were currently running at 6% off anyways, plus we really didn't want another pair of new chairs... just needed a chair base. So we declined.Now I have a cracked chair and another one that is fine... not sure what to do with them as we needed a matching pair. Shame we didn't get to use it at all.

I am totally stunned by the quality of the chairs. The seat of the chairs are thick, nothing like those foldable chairs. These designer chairs added accent to my dining room but I really wish we have a similar designer table to go with it. Overall, love them and plan to order 4 more since we have a long dining table.
