Nowhere near enough pictures
I'm a Visio kinda guy. I learn and communicate visually. This book contains text instructions for all the stuff you want to understand, but very few diagrams or print screens. Why? If you're so good at Visio - then use it. I want to understand how to incorporate shape data and data graphics. To be perfectly honest, I'd have preferred to purchase 'Teach yourself Visually Visio 2007 Professional' - yes I like color pictures. I'll let you judge for yourself. I've read 12 chapters and I'm still not clear on how and when to best add data graphics to my diagram. I wish someone would come out with a book who's chapter #1 tells you where to get all the master shapes YOU find pertinent. Anybody, please send me links to your favorite Visio communities - where people go to share Visio master shapes (etc.). I've got another 20 chapters or so to go in Biafore's Bible. Yes, I intend to finish his book, but it wouldn't have killed them to diagram step-by-step procedures for the more complex tasks.

Good, Comprehensive Guide for Beginning-Intermediate Users -- Great to have for On-Hand Reference
If you're using Visio sporadically or just learning it, this is a good overall book to keep on hand for finding your way through working in Visio. Like Excel, Visio is a program that few users ever tap half it's capabilities & covering every detail in a single book is about impossible; however this is a good, comprehensive guide to get you through everything you need unless you need to be a true expert.

Absolutely Useless
Usually when a book is titled "bible" it gives it will include broad scope of information regarding a subject, including a plethora of information on "how to". While this book does have a wealth of information, it is not a "how to" guide. I agree with the previous posting in reference to the lack of graphics, screenshots, etc. My primary purpose for purchasing the book was to learn how to create a conceptual web site using Visio. The information included in the book was useless for that purpose. If it were possible to request a refund, I would certainly do it. This was a total waste.

Four Stars
The material covered is ok, I guess. I purchased it for Software Flowcharting and it does cover that.

Thorough explanation
Visio is not as instinctive as some Office programs become and a good guide is essential for a beginner user. This book provides just that.

No CD with files / pdf copy
I can't believe that there is no CDROM with this book and that an electronic copy has to be purchased separately. Not impressive.Matthew
