Five Little Pumpkins: A Fall and Halloween Book for Kids (Harper Growing Tree)

My Granddaughters loves this book. Our two year old still brings me the book to read to her.

Since this is my baby’s first Halloween, I wanted to start with a book I used to read to my preschoolers. This board book is a perfect book to grow with baby through the toddler years and has such an adorable rhythm.

I learned this Halloween book as a song when I was in kindergarten. Now I have passed to my cousin’s daughter. She loves it.

This is my favorite version of this cute little Halloween poem. I like to buy it for a fun baby gift-babies love the graphics and will love it each Halloween as they grow.

My 3 year old just learned this song so finding this book was perfect timing. Great quality board book. Bright, fun pictures and exactly like the song.

My teenage son enjoyed this book as a toddler, glad to see it’s still around so I could order one for my niece and nephew.

My 2 year old son adores ghosts. I have no idea why. I hope he plans on removing those women from their ghost busting role and takes the job for himself.But anyway, it's a quick book. Seriously short. I can recite it word for word.*SPOILERS*Five little pumpkins sitting on a gateThe first one said "oh my it's getting late"The second one said "there are witches in the air"The third one said "but we don't care" (that bit is my son's fave. It's probably the shortest book we have. He enjoys it though. But he makes me read it over and over. My memory is so poor I struggle to remember my date of birth but I can recite this book. Fml.

Book arrived like others shown on reviews with slightly damaged edges & spine but as the book was being used only as a photo prop for an Halloween themed shoot it was good enough for my purpose. The book itself is very cute & based on the song 5 little pumpkins with bright colours & strong thick pages it should withstand many a read.

My grandsons love this story. Happy to find it in a board book.

A few years ago I had a version of this with sounds and animations. The pumpkins lit up when touched, and the ghost blew the candle out, witched flew… very disappointed that this version doesn’t do that. It was much more fun for my kids and a much cuter story.

I love how you can count down with this book. I ended up making extensions to go with it -- felt board pieces and a wooden fence with pumpkins attached to clothespins to hook on the gate. Can't wait to share it with my preschool children.
