Just what we needed!
These long nuts made it much easier to mount the engine covers on our Shriner Tin Lizzy mini cars. The one shown has a bolt and fender washer screwed into the end to keep wiring harness in place.

Works as expected
Most coupling nuts use a wrench one size smaller than what is needed for a standard nut. I'm guessing it's so when locking a coupling nut and a regular nut onto a threaded rod a wrench will not catch both at the same time. Personally I see it as an excuse to use less steel when making the coupling nut.The nuts work just like the ones you buy in the local hardware store. If not for being slightly larger on the outside I doubt you could tell the difference. The threads were perfect. They even came in a cardboard box that can be recycled vs a plastic bag that can't.

Nice
Make in China huh ?

Average ¼-inch, galvanized hex coupling nuts
These appear to be average ¼-inch, galvanized hex coupling nuts. Unfortunately, what I needed was a coupling nut (or adapter) that was female ¼-inch and female ⅜-inch on the other end. Not the vendor’s fault – mine. Still, I suspect these couplings will work well when coupling ¼-inch UNC (Unified National Coarse) threads, like you might find on photographic tripods, but not NPT (National Pipe Thread). There is nothing exceptional about these couplings, but they will get the job done in most cases.PROS• These are average ¼-inch galvanized hex coupling nuts.• Galvanized steel.CONS• None.

What I needed
I have threaded rod that I have protruding from a hole in a tool rack, and wanted to add a male eye hook to the end of it. This is how you do it, screw this on the end of the rod, then the eye hook into this. So simple, and yet it works perfectly. I keep these on hand when I need to make unusual connections like that, and for the price, why not? It's much cheaper than the local hardware store, I'm happy.

Decent quality, great pricing
I used to use similar standoffs on optical tables in grad school. These are very versatile for fixtures. I don't have a current intended use for them yet, but I'll likely use it to build an adjustable linkage in the future. The quality is a bit lower than the nicer ones I used for optical tables, but for the price it's well worth the tradeoff.

Precision and quality
I didn't have a specific use for these in mind when I placed the order, but I have a collection of standoffs that I use quite often for DIY projects and I had none of this size, but I do keep a supply of 1/4-20 bolts so I know I'll use these for something for sure, probably for mounting something into my drum kit since I've acquired a few little sound effect gadgets. They're large, heavy, and solid, with no burrs or defects, and the threads are smooth. No complaints whatsoever and they came packaged decently in a nice little box. There was no rust or corrosion and the zinc plating looked uniform, so I'm happy, thanks for the great fasteners.

HIgh quality materials
Smooth threads no rough spots while turning onto bolts or threaded rods, good diameter ratio (not thin walled weak metal as some I've had) with sufficient material mass and length to make a strong coupling.
