I steam a lot of dumplings so this was a great addition to my kitchen! The steamer is really large, but that gives you a lot of flexibility with the pot you can use. As long as a full circle of holes is covered, it'll do it's job. I have used this countless times since purchasing it, so I really can't recommend it enough.

This looks like a reasonable steamer, and it feels sturdy, but 12.6” (32 cm) is the _inside_ diameter. The outside diameter is just over 13” (33.5cm).

This steamer basket is quite large - when they say it fits a wok pan, they mean it! I don't have a pan large enough to fit it other than a wok or my extra large cast iron dutch oven. It can hold an entire meal for a family of four to steam, or enough for two and keep salmon and veg separate with space to spare! Excellent for large batch cooking as well.
