Bought this on sale because I’m a sucker for a book deal, especially a plant book. It’s wonderful and I’ve learned so much already. It lists the herb description, habitat/cultivation, parts used, constituents, history, and the medicinal action/use for each. Glad to add it to the collection.

A thorough read, great A-Z

This book has so much detail in it about useful herbs and plants. It doesn't just cover the usual ones, but includes heaps of plants, including international ones, that have medicinal value. I have searched for a book like this for years. I'd say this is the most complete I've found. It does have photographs of a lot of plants, but not all. Details of how to use the plants are great. There are also recipes for making teas, tisanes, tincture, ointments etc and an ailment list with plant cures. I really love this book, I have learned so so much.
