Most guitar gimmicks are just that, gimmicks. Never really end up using them long-term. However..
This is a great little gadget to have. I strum, I fingerpick, heck I even play the Blues with a slide. However, in between all of that, I work hard on keeping the pick held, or quickly place it on my lips when I need to do a quick finger pick section. This changes all that! I'm surprised it actually took this long to invent something like this. Gone are the days of having to look for your pick in the dark too when it falls.Simply place the silicone wedge over your favorite pick, and then with it facing up toward the sky slip the silicone ring over your pointing finger. Then bend the silicone with the pick down and start playing, and then when it is time for fingerpicking let it go, do your thing and then slide your thumb over it and then start picking again, with the pick. Sounds complex, but it actually works.Included in this set:- One silicone finger ring.- 3 picks in light, medium, and hard.- Box with clear instructions and images.- A small case for the silicone ring. The only caveat I have is that, my fingers are usually considered medium, and I ordered so in this ring size, but it slightly, like just a hair bigger, and I should have ordered small. Will order a few in small in the future, and pass this one onto my pal.

Neat Little Guitar Accessory
I'm always dropping my guitar pick, so I had to try this item. I ordered the Medium size, wondering if it would be too large, as I have smallish hands. It fits perfectly on my index finger, so Moshanghua had better make Large and Extra Large sizes for those players who have baseball gloves for hands- we all know at least one.Anyway, this works quite well- better than expected, really. It comes with a small case and picks of three different gauges. The Pick Grip is designed for the very common "351" pick shape, and my main concern is longevity. If you plan to start gigging with one of these, it may behoove you to get more than one, as I can envision this silicone material tearing eventually. If you use picks with sharp edges, such as the ones made out of credit cards with a pick punch, tearing becomes a virtual certainty. If you "attack" your guitar, extras are probably mandatory, and it would be nice if Moshanghua would offer these in quantity lots.Guitar players may love or hate the Pick Grip, but it's fairly cheap, so why not try one?

Looks jank but works well!
At first I thought this was kind of jank. It's floppy and weird and the bright orange is a bit much. But it actually works really well! It doesn't keep the pick close to your finger, but it does keep you from dropping it, and I kind of like that it sproings out a bit when you're not using it, so it's less in the way. It's meant to be held between your forefinger and thumb, which keeps in in place while using it. I'm an adult woman with largish hands and got the medium, which fits my index finger comfortably without feeling like it's going to fall off, though that's also with it fairly far back on my finger. If I'd wanted the pick closer to the end of my finger, I would need a small. I tested it out with my lyre harp and loved using it. I still don't love the bright orange, but I can live with it, and I like that it comes with three different picks (in different thicknesses) and that there's a case to hold all of it.

just can't get accustomed to it
At $7.99 this is worth a try, if you alternate a lot between flat picking and finger picking. It's a great concept and I love the innovative intent. I play a lot, but I just couldn't get the hang of the product. It feels awkward when flatpicking, and I couldn't quickly switch from flat to fingerpicking.

takes some getting used to
I like the idea of this, for two reasons. One, I mostly do fingerpicking, but I play a few songs strumming with a pick and a few songs that switch mid song. And two, maybe because I don't use a pick very often anymore, I tend to drop them when strumming. They just slip out of my hands. So this seemed like a great tool to have a pick right at my disposal as well as to have something a little thicker to hold on to. Great, in theory. But the practical application of using this is another story. Going from strumming to fingerpicking is easy enough, just let go of the pick. But going from fingerpicking to strumming is awkward and takes practice.Strumming with this isn't as easy as I though it would be. It's kind of fiddly and, again, awkward. If you don't have it on the finger at juuuust the right angle, the pick is hard to hold onto and difficult to hold in the right position.I wanted to really like this more than I do. And I did give four stars because, I think with more practice, it'll be easier to use. I just sort of expected more from the get go. I would definitely recommend this if you are like me and switch between finger picking and strumming. Just be prepared for a period of adjustment and a bit of a learning curve.

Better Than Expected
This pick holder is much more useful than I thought it would be. It's comfortable to hold the pick between your index finger and thumb, and as a side benefit, it encourages you to hold the pick properly.. I tend to get sloppy and hold my thumb and index finger both pointing toward the strings. This really encourages you to keep your thumb parallel to the strings and index finger pointing toward the strings, the proper position. And when finger picking, as in the second photo, the pick is easily out of the way. This is well thought out. It also might keep a lot of guitarists from sticking the pick between their lips. It's surprising how many guitarists, even professionals, hold their pick in their mouth. No excuse for that anymore.

I Like Being Able To Adjust the Pick Angle
I've been using this grip quite a bit and it feels comfortable. I like being able to adjust my pick angle just by how I position the pick in the slot. That's something the other styles I've tried won't let me do. Just let go of it and it flips back when finger picking. I mostly wanted it to keep my pick in proper position. As an older player, I no longer have the moisture in my fingers and I often feel my pick slipping as I struggle to complete a song without totally losing it. This takes care of the problem and I recommend it over the styles that won't let you change pick angle. I got the medium and the the finger band is a little looser than I prefer, but it still stays in place.
