I Sleep in a Big Bed: (Milestone Books for Kids, Big Kid Books for Young Readers (Big Kid Power)

I bought 4 books to prepare my son for his transition into a big boy bed, and this one is by far my favorite! It's easy to follow, brings up real concerns a child might have (and addresses those concerns), and it doesn't set any bad examples. (i.e. the character in the book doesn't get out of his bed and explore his house like in some other books...I don't want to even introduce that idea to my son!) I am very happy with this book and highly recommend it.

I love how simple this story is because it make it easily understandable to a toddler. It shows how babies sleep in a crib but big kids get a big bed. It shows the bedtime routine and is very happy. If you are looking for one book, this is it.

We read it daily for a week before my son moved out of his crib. He still loves the book. Simple and great for little ones (we also love the paci story)

My 3 year old twins loved this book. It went into perfect detail that helped my kids prepare for big kid beds. If you’re on the fence, buy this. I was and I wasn’t disappointed.

We liked this book because it didn't get into introducing any scary ideas to our son. It's a simple, sweet book that helps build up the idea that sleeping in a big bed is cool!

This was perfect for my daughters transition to a big girl bed. We started reading it a few days before and then the night of the transition. I also love that it’s an African American character, my daughter is mixed and I love to expose her to diverse characters that look like her and her family members.

My 2.5 year old had no interest in this. It’s “ok” in terms of reading it out loud- get a the point across. Simple as expected but it’s so boring compared to other books and not visually appealing at all- it’s dark, no color other than black brown and blue.
