Great entry level tripod at this price
Bought this as a travel tripod to take anywhere in the car, as my old one was a big heavy beast... thought for the money, you cant really go wrong. The price point is very good. So when it arrived I thought Id give it a test. On opening the box, I saw a lovely, strong carry bag with sturdy zip. It felt a nice weight. not too heavy to carry places. Inside was a nice looking tripod with some nice detailing to make it look modern and more expensive than it was. The head even had another bag over to protect it, which I thought was a nice touch. It had 4 section clip-lock legs and rubber feet, with a height adjustable centre column with a weight hook underneath for added stability. To test it I used my heaviest camera and lens combo on it, and it held them pretty strong, after giving the tightener on the head a good twist. It needed doing up pretty tight but it held a 5d mk 3, with battery grip and 70-200 with no problem. I tried it from the camera body just to see, but it felt much sturdier mounting it to the lens collar, but thats what its there for. I did a couple of tests in low light with exposures of 5 seconds, and they seemed pretty sharp so the tripod was doing its job well. I did have a bit of weight hanging from the hook under the centre column, purely because my camera and lens were so heavy, but id always recommend doing that anyway. Fully extended I found this tripod to be a great size. Im 5'10 and I couldnt reach my eye to the viewfinder at full height so it would easily suit the taller photographer. As with any tripod, it operate best slightly under full height. The centre column and lower part of the legs can introduce shake, so I would only extend those if necessary, but they arent weak by any means. My overall impressions are that this is a great entry level tripod for those looking for something light, strong, and good value for money. Id definitely recommend it. I tried it with a 6d mk 2 and 24-105 too, and with that combo it was a dream, but I like to test things to the extreme before reviewing.

Awesome Tripod!
This tripod was awesome and was given a beating for 4 years before starting to show issues. I think that was more on my carelessness vs the build of this tripod. When rushing during shoots to set-up & pack-down all my kit, I used to unhook the clips and sling the legs out and I think it eventually cracked some of the plastic. Keep in mind, this was my first tripod and lasted through personal and professional shoots for years! This has been anywhere from hiking and camping in rain and snow... to multiple office shoots in a day. Divide the cost over the 4-5 years of ownership and it's like a costa coffee. Incredible value for money in my opinion, while also not feeling cheap. It's sturdy and robust and can carry a decent payload too. It 'can' hold my cinema camera with a 400mm lens, but it does show some flex when the legs are spaced wide.. but for any photography or mirrorless video work, I think this is a great option.

Strong and light tripod for Travellers.
This is a great travel Tripod for me. I'm really happy with it. The quality of this tripod is really impressive. when taken out of the box, you're introduced to the thick and durable carry case in which the tripod lies. The body of the tripod feels strong and robust. I believe its made of aluminium, when pulling out the legs they click in to place letting you know how far you have pulled them out and gives you a sense of security, knowing that this isn't going to fold in. each click and clip feels like its permanent, (until you want to change it) The body is made of aluminium so it's light and durable. You can carry it with one hand or even attach it to your own backpack or camera bag. The head is very straight forward to use, the ball joint at the top lets you have the camera in any position you desire. you can turn from landscape to portrait in seconds. This tripod goes as high as 62" which is almost as tall as me, (i'm 6ft) but as it extends to this height, it does then start to get a little weak, but it can be weighed down with a camera bag hook at the bottom. The Tripod can have all its legs at 90 degrees and and get really low. Overall this tripod is strong and durable for most and everyday camera usage and Ideal for any photographer looking for a compact tripod solution.

Your Perfect Travel Tripod
This is my 2nd K&F Tripod and I’m impressed with build quality and value for money, compared to some of the main players. I recently embarked on a mesmerising trip to Iceland, where the skies dance with the enchanting Aurora Borealis. And I owe the stunning photos I captured to this incredible tripod. It's not just a tripod; it's a trusty companion for any photographer on the go. What struck me first was its lightweight and portability. Weighing in at just 2.53 pounds with the ball head included, this tripod is a breeze to carry around. It easily folds down to a compact 15.3 inches, fitting snugly in its carrying bag. It's a true travel-friendly companion that won't weigh you down on your adventures. The 360-degree metal ball head was a game-changer, allowing me to capture the Northern Lights from every angle. The smooth rotation and 360-degree panning dial enabled precision shots that showcased the breathtaking landscapes of Iceland in all their glory. Efficiency and flexibility are key with this tripod. Thanks to the quick flip leg lock, I could set it up with just one hand, saving me valuable time. This meant more time to savor the magic of the Aurora Borealis and focus on my photography.

More than I had hoped for
I was disappointed when I ordered the item and then realised it was coming from abroad and would take a month for delivery. The tripod was shipped out the day after I placed my order and arrived 12 days later which is fantastic service. The item was well packaged, plastic outer wrap over a layer of bubble wrap which meant the box was in perfect condition when I unwrapped it. Inside the box was a heavy duty nylon carrier bag with handle and detachable shoulder strap. The tripod inside was in a plastic bag and silicon packs were included to keep the damp off the tripod. The head was covered with a velvet bag for extra protection which was a nice touch. I was immediately impressed with the weight and quality of the tripod and appreciated the foam sleeve on one leg as tripods are always cold to handle. The legs extend with simple clip release action and they are in four sections so plenty of height without having to extend the neck, The clips are stiff but not so much that you have to fight with them and they ensure the legs are able to support the camera. The clips at the tops of the legs are easy to use and allows you to move the leg position for more stability or simply to lower the tripod height. The centre pole can be removed and inverted so the camera can be placed lower to the ground. The ball head is smooth and once secured very stable. It can be turned smoothly through 360 degrees and the ball once locked in place is very secure. The plate to attach the camera to the head is metal and the attachment is very secure I would have no worries about hanging my camera upside down on this head. There is a wrist strap to ensure you have complete control of your tripod if holding it in a precarious position such as the edge of a cliff or waterfall or balanced on the side of a boat, where ever you balance it the strap will ensure you don't lose both tripod and camera. Aesthetically the tripod looks expensive, the black and gold makes it look classy and although not an important feature of a tripod is still worth noting. I would happily recommend this tripod to others, for the cost of under fifty pounds including ball head and postage you can't go wrong with this fabulous item. I am sure it will give me many years of use.

A great tripod, first was faulty (leaked lubrication gel from the head) replacement was spot on!
Note, edits at the end of the review regarding fault. Wanted a more compact tripod to replace a cheap as chips tripod I've had many years use out of, as I wanted to do a bit more landscape photography, this would be much easier to carry. Based on reviews this seemed perfect. It arrived very well packaged, with a nice little pouch cover the head to protect it, the carry bag also has the added option of a shoulder strap and I like that one of the legs has a foam coating around it, helps keep your hands a little warmer when carrying it in the winter. The trip is very compact, lightweight and very sturdy in windy conditions. It states it’s quick release, which to me, means flicking a little lever and it’s released, this you have to screw to tighten around the plate, ok only a few seconds, but when your hands are freezing, screwing and unscrewing something isn’t always easy to do! That was just a minor niggle for me though and one I was happy to live with as I was impressed with the tripod. However, after just a few weeks of use it started to leak a sticky gel from where the head rotates. I would’ve expected this from my cheapo tripod, but not one at this price. I understand it’ll need some kind of gel to keep the rotation so smooth, but had I known it would leak as much as it does I would’ve chosen another tripod, as it gets all over everything. Reading through the reviews there only seems to be one other who's experienced this, so I'm guessing I just have a faulty one. Sadly I’m outside of the return window now so just have to make do until I can afford to replace it. ***Edit 04/12 - Seller (dcmall) contacted me within hours of this review being published, and advised the tripod is faulty, they sent a replacement out which was received the next day. Will test the new one and update my review accordingly*** ***Edit 11/12 - Tested the replacement tripod this weekend, and it's been great. When comparing the two, I noticed the head on the first was very loose/wobbly in comparison to the replacement, which makes me believe the first one I received was definitely faulty. I slipped and fell on the replacement this weekend on the ice, no breakages (tripod or me) the head is still solid and leaks no gel. Very happy with the service provided by the seller (thank you) and now very happy with the tripod!***

sturdy and just so easy to use
I have been a photographer for many years now and have always struggled to find a reasonably lightweight tripod that fits my needs. Finally the day has come thanks to this model. As well as being light it is strong, sturdy and just so easy to use. This tripod allows you to get low level shots which is an added bonus plus it is so easy to switch positions in seconds which is important to me in some circumstances and the fact it can go to 1.65cm is even better. This tripod despite the low price is very well made and you can see by just looking at it that no corners were cut with the materials used. It arrived in a very neat carrying case and also comes with nice ball-head attached to it. I really cannot praise this product highly enough and even delivery was super fast. A sure cert 5 star product that would get 10 stars if I could.

Mis Advertised!! **updated**
This is a very sturdy well designed tripod which is light weight and seems like it would be good for travelling, however, it is a great shame that this tripod was miss advertised. This tripod was advertised as being able to be turned into a monopod as well as a tripod (which was the main reason I purchased it) however, when I received it it was clear that it was not possible to do so. There was also nothing in the instruction manual about it being able to be turned into a monopod. **Update** Seller reached out to me to offer a separate monopod that resolve my original issue. It appears the seller has updated the original description to reflect this. Over all the tripod is good quality and does the job when I’m traveling.
