I literally felt like some type of celebrity when I busted this paddle out at the club courts the other day. At first, just a few people walked up to me to check it out, but within a few minutes, my new paddle and I were the center of attention and showered with compliments. Of course, there are always the few people who are jealous and stare as they walk by and say nothing (aka the haters). I can't wait to see what they show up with next week...This paddle arrived quick, but I was suprised by the level of basic the packaging was. It came in a bubble wrap sleeve- that's all. I wasn't expecting a cover (although it would have been nice) but I would have at least thought this would have come in a box or something. With that said, just note that you JUST get the paddle. No accessories, no case. No box. Just a paddle in bubble wrap.Now, this is beautiful. It is simple, classic and classy. At first, I thought I would miss my loud, palm tree paddle, but I absolutely love the understated elegance of this. It's very clean and really *chefs kiss*.The handle feels incredible! It is super soft/padded, but has a fantastic grip to it. I've been having some issues with my hands lately, so I really appreciate how soft and comfortable this feels in hand.I also REALLY love and appreciate the super lightweight! Oh man! I'm able to whip this paddle around NICE without getting fatigued.I'm able to get some pretty explosive power with this paddle, which I really lacked in my old one. It's interesting because I was always told (and believed up until this point) that you usually have to choose between power and control with your paddle, but this gets VERY high scores from me on both! I'm not going to lie- I'm not new to this sport, but I seemed like it my first few matches using this. This takes some getting used to, but once you get that spin down...OOOH WEE!I feel like I have most definitely advanced to another level in my play with this paddle. I feel like I now have the finesse that the big boys have. Sure, this cost some coins, but if you are an experienced player looking to up your game, this might be the paddle for you.

Enjoying this racket: Plays very well, give great control/spin on the ball.The only negative: I was expecting at this price it not to have a plastic edge strip, but it does. So that 1 in 100 shots where you get the ball right at the edge send it off uncontrolled.

I am writing this as someone that doesn't know too much about paddles or pickleball. With that being said, I can say that this is a very light and easy to use paddle for pickle ball. I had an entry level paddle and this Franklin blows it out of the water in terms of ease of use. Another plus for this paddle is that it is on the USAPA approved list.Overall, this is an excellent paddle, but the price point may be a bit high for beginners.
