Calling all cassette enthusiasts! The Gracioso Portable Cassette Player is a blast from the past that perfectly blends retro charm with modern convenience. It's the ideal way to relive your favorite tapes or introduce a new generation to the joys of analog music. This little cassette player packs a surprising punch. The built-in speakers deliver clear and surprisingly loud audio, perfect for sharing your tunes with friends or enjoying a solo listening session. For private listening, there's a headphone jack as well. But the Gracioso isn't just for playback. It also has a built-in microphone, so you can record your own voice messages or music. This is a great feature for capturing interviews, lectures, or even creating your own lo-fi beats. The player itself is surprisingly lightweight and portable. It runs on two AA batteries or a USB power supply, making it perfect for taking your music on the go. Plus, the simple design with easy-to-use controls makes it a breeze to operate.Whether you're a seasoned cassette collector or a curious newcomer, the Gracioso Portable Cassette Player is a great choice. The built-in speakers, microphone recording function, portability, and dual power options make it a versatile and fun way to experience the magic of cassette tapes. nice features but why the upside down text?
The media could not be loaded. I am rating this 5 stars even though it has 1 bad design element. The text for the buttons is upside down. This makes no sense to me, as the only way the text would be the right direction is if someone put this face down on a table, which would be an odd thing to do since it needs to be the right way up to open and switch tapes or flip the tape to side B.Other than that, it's awesome. I like the USB-C power option, along with batteries. I am also glad it has a record function and choice of using the built-in microphone or connecting an auxiliary input!

Just like the one you had 40 or so years ago except...
You don't have to tear the place apart trying to find that power adapter you used with it last month! Thanks to the USB-C power input, there is no proprietay power adapter. DO NOT use one of the high powered, fast charge power supplies with this though - standard charger only or you might cause damage. (NOTE: A power cable, USB-A to USB-C is included but no power supply.)Sound using the speaker is decent but just okay - about what you might remember from long ago. The sound from using headphones (also includes a set of wired ear buds) is very nice.Overall, while being very light in feel, it seems sturdy. One point of concern I have is how well the small hooks that are what you slide the cassette into on the door and that serve to pull the cassette off the spindles will hold up over time. Now you can dig out all those old cassette tapes you shoved back in the closet or in that box under the bed and relive the memories - or, if you're younger, you can play those tapes your parents or even grandparents kept all those years.

Nice Little Cassette Player/Recorder
This is a nice little cassette player/recorder.I like that you have an option to use either batteries or the included USB-C power cable. Obviously, if you want to use this as a traditional Walkman and move about you’ll go for the battery option, however, I am using this mostly to listen while sedentary at home and prefer the power cable option. This review will focus mostly on playback and tape transport functions since I did not attempt to use the recording option. All of the buttons, play, rewind, fast-forward, and stop work perfectly. The auto stop feature works specifically with playback. In other words when the tape comes to the end, the unit stops automatically, and the rollers and tape head are no longer engaged with the tape surface. This is good for the longevity of the unit unit and your tapes. Note: the auto stop feature does not work in fast-forward or rewind So you’ll have to hit that stop button manually. I got this cassette player, knowing that I would be using it either through an aux cable to my home stereo or through a set of fairly decent headphones. Given these set ups, I am quite happy. I think the sound is fine and there is no detectable issue with playback speed. The built-in speaker and the wired earbuds do not produce very good sound, however, I had expected this which is why I planned to hook this up to either a stereo or headphones set up. Bottom line if you decide to use the item as I do, you will be quite pleased with this little player. It’s hard to find something that will play cassettes at this price point so I think it’s a great value.
