There are many reasons it's the best scoop ever. Goes in dishwasher... Soft handle with good grip size... Pointed end of scoop good for hard ice cream or getting ice cream to bottom of cone... It's weighted and the steel is one piece through the handle which makes it sturdy and gives you extra umph for scooping hard ice cream. Previous scoops have pitted after continuous dishwashing. This hasn't yet and I don't think it will since it's 18/8 Stainless steel, same as my silverware. Better than two major name brands I've had.

I am highly impressed with this ice cream scoop. It may be partly due to the absolute piece of trash I have been using until now (see comparison pic) but I think all would agree this really seems to be a quality item. I don’t know where our old one came from (dollar store?) but it was horrendously pitted and chipped after years of use by two kids. I wanted the new one to never do that so therefore I sought out this really nice stainless steel one. In addition to the scoop, the rubber grip seems pretty nice too. And…it’s heavy! Could possibly double for a one pound weight or small hammer in a pinch. Buy now - totally worth the price!

I used to have to leave the ice cream out on the counter to soften up a bit before scooping ice cream out. Now, I can scoop right out of the freezer. Super comfortable handle.

This is a great ice cream scoop. It is well made and balanced so well. Even the hardest ice cream is easier to scoop. I am very happy with this purchase.

So I was tired of all the flimsy ice cream scoopers that hurt my wrist.I read the reviews of a few options.I ended up buying this one and so glad I did!Scoops easy and doesn’t hurt my wrist.Definitely recommend this one!Money well spent!

If you're eating ice cream from a dish... buy a spade. If you want large round scoops for a bowl buy a scoop that has a plunger back. If you want ice cream from a sugar cone... this is the right scoop. It is small enough and creates the perfect shape to push into the cone. It is heavy and feels good in the hand. I hand wash this as I read some other reviews that say water gets beneath the rubber grip and creates a problem. I've had no issues.

Best ice cream scoop I've ever owned.

I boiled some water and put it in a metal jug, removed the hard NON-soft-scoop ice cream from the freezer. After leaving the scoop in the hot water for 15 seconds it was put to test on the ice cream. It made no more impression on the stuff than if I had used a cold tablespoon. Yes, it went in about a centimetre, then stopped. Even placing a lot of pressure on it did not work. The scoop itself still felt moderately hot ...and in theory it should have worked. Another 2 repeated attempts fared no better. I was drawn to the beaked shape of the scoop, thinking that it would sink down in and give some decent leverage, at least, even though it may not `ball’. But no, not in this case. My favourite shop-bought ice cream remained stubbornly in it’s 1 litre tub. 10 minutes out on the worktop is usually enough to get it to be more malleable...but I didn’t try this scoop again, out of principle, as it had failed it’s NO THAW claim. If things don’t live up to their claims, they go back! Simplez!

Previous scoops have failed dismally, bending or non-dishwasher proof. We hope and expect this to be an exception.

We can now ditch the bent spoon and scoop ice cream without inflicting pain. A quality item - always buy quality. Buy once, not twice: you won't regret it.

Brilliant design, weighted perfectly, good grippy handle. Only had it a short while so can’t comment on durability of coating yet.

This scoop looks good and does the job, but using it, it doesn’t feel balanced - it is really light in the handle and heavy in the scoop. A pity because I love icecream and was super excited when I bought it.
