Go back, way back, lock the knee LOCK THE KNEE!
Would recommend for anyone in did first few months of Hot Bikram Yoga practice.I have been practising regularly for the past 4 months and originally bought this book to renew my enthusiasm for going to class during the cold, winter months. It did help.Obviously the pose descriptions in the book are very useful, but I personally enjoyed reading about Bikram's philosophy on life and a little more about the man himself."You know what America's biggest problem is? No problems!"

Funny, insightful and informative read.
I've been regularly attending Bikram yoga classes for nearly 3 years. I brought this book to help me deepen my practice and to take it to another level. Once you get past the fact that this book, it seems, was solely written with Americans in mind (depsite the fact the Bikram has studios around the globe) it's then a very funny, insightful and informative read.

Fun and informative and fab!
Already had Bikram's Beginning Yoga Class and found it to be the best yoga book ever [IMHO]. I think this one equally good and fills in any missing pieces. Actually made me want to rush to my yoga mat. Benefits benefits benefits!Fabulously informative. It's wonderful to know the benefits of each asana without having to wade through mountains of dull and dry text. I've always practically ignored savasana, and never will again! The background info; history of , science of etc is also very readable. I hadn't realised how much, in certain cases, yoga has been changed for westerners, and only relatively recently.Osho said to never trust a guru without a sense of humour. Bikram has fab sense of humour, passion for yoga, the knowledge and the descriptive skill to make this read like a novel...Even the parts of the book that describe how to do each asana are enjoyable and interesting.I've been meditating for years and love it and wouldn't dream of missing a day. However, I can often get lazy about yoga asanas and pranayama. This book has changed all that...It's impossible [for me anyway!] to absorb Bikrams' passion and knowledge of the marvelous benefits of the asanas etc and not be super keen to do them.As with any book I've read didn't agree with every single bit, that would be a bit sheep like! But I gained enough valuable knowledge and was entertained enough for this book to be worth the money many times over!Get it, and if you don't agree with me you can always put it straight onto Amazon marketplace!
