I wanted an air purifier to place close to my solar mini split AC. Mini splits are great, but they can get clogged with dust and become ineffective. Air purifiers are a good way to keep the dust down and keep a mini split clean. Anyway I got this one on a decent sale and had no trouble just plugging it in, starting it in automatic, and forgetting about it. It makes very little noise, adjusts to the air quality (runs more when it detects a drop in air quality), and doesn’t need tending. The air in my house is already pretty good, but I do notice that when I’m cooking in the kitchen, which is the next room, the purifier kicks into higher gear. It really gets going if I’m searing, frying, etc. Once it gets the air cleaned up, it goes back to maintaining the air quality at lower fan settings on its own. Truly a set and forget tool. I’m not sure how it will do with keeping my mini split clear as they’re both new, but I’ll update when I have more information.

I've been concerned about air quality in my large basement woodshop for years. This little unit not only cleans things up, it also monitors air quality over time and alerts me when the air might be dangerous. I already use the ThinQ app for other household appliances, so adding this air purifier to the app was super easy. Honestly, the ThinQ app is so useful I find myself trying to justify replacing perfectly good appliances so I can monitor everything in one place. In other news, this air purifier is extremely quiet. In auto mode you just set it and forget it, and wait for the app to tell you when the filter needs to be replaced. This will more than pay for itself the first time you don't have medical bills from breathing bad air.

I’ve tried smaller air purifiers before, but this LG model is in a completely different league. It’s big, heavy-duty, and built to handle large spaces, which is perfect for our open living/dining area. Despite its size, it runs surprisingly quiet—even on higher settings, the noise is more of a gentle hum than a distraction. The automatic function is fantastic; it constantly monitors the air quality and adjusts the fan speed accordingly, so I don’t have to think about it. The air quality indicator gives me peace of mind. I can literally see it respond in real time—like when I’m cooking or when the windows are open on a high-pollen day. My only wish? A built-in handle. It’s a bit awkward to move around due to its weight, so a handle would make it perfect. Still, the performance and air-cleaning power easily make up for it. If you want serious purification power without the constant noise, this LG is worth it.

I bought this to filter cooking odors. I received it and used it. I cooked onions, garlic, and peppers. The smell usually lasts through the next day. It is about an hour after cooking, and there is no smell at all. I even went outside to clear any smells and came back in to no odors! I am thrilled with this filter!

My preferred air cleaner so far. Whisper quiet. Favorite feature was the control by phone LG app. I already had the app for a TV, and this is very convenient. Control of light, stealth mode for night is good. I can check air quality on the app, even though it doesn't give fake precision like the readouts on the side of the SH**K brand... Too early to say, but initial impression is of a quality product. Packaging was good, and the advertised filter change interval is excellent. No heavy plastic smells either.

My husband has asthma and when researching air purifiers, this one was recommended. We bought this for his home office and loved that it was quiet! It is larger than we were thinking we wanted for the home office, but we found a space for it. Loved it so much, we purchased another for the living room!
