I’ve been using the Freshly Bailey Doodle Brush on my goldendoodle puppy since she was 8 weeks old, and nearly a year later, it’s still one of the best grooming tools we own. She actually seems to enjoy being brushed with it—no resistance or discomfort, even when her coat is long and in need of a trim. This brush works equally well on freshly shaved fur and thick, grown-out coats. I especially appreciate the way the bristles flex slightly to reach the base of her coat without causing any irritation. It glides through her curls smoothly and really helps keep matting under control. If you have a doodle or a similar breed, I highly recommend giving this brush a try—it’s gentle, reliable, and makes grooming a more enjoyable experience for both pup and owner.

If you have a doodle this brush is perfect to get through the tangles, I have a bichon-poo with curly hair and it goes through it with great ease. Comfortable to hold, design is flawless to get through tuff spots. Definitely a good brush that is affordable.

My little girl is mostly Chow Chow, Pitbull and Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler), so she has plenty of long hair, and is double coated! Fortuntely, she only has one major shedding season, but her hair tends to kink and knot throughout the year, especially around her neck and belly. I've been through several other brushes, mostly the double sided design with the brush and slicker, but none of those have lasted. They also tended to snag her knots, pins would fall out, and eventually the entire rubber brush mount would completely rip out of the surround. This brush seems to be very durable. The fine, hooked pins work well to untangle her fur without pulling too much. The large, rectangular head has great coverage compared to the smaller oval ones, and the pins are long enough to grab the base of the loose fur. My girl loves to be brushed, but I've had a couple brushes that I noticed she reacted more negatively toward (quick head turns / glances while I was brushing, indicating discomfort)... She seems to be very comfortable with this one, even when I'm using more pressure with it. It's not quite as easy to clean as other brushes I've used - I can pull out most of the hair patties if I lift from the topside of the brush and work it downward (the brush hooks toward the bottom), but some fine hair remains in the center of the brush... It's not a big deal overall, but it may be a bit annoying for some people (like me) who prefer to put away a completely clean brush. I sometimes grab another brush just to brush the remaining hair out... This brush isn't cheap, but it's less expensive than most comparable brushes, and I can't imagine those brushes being any better (I'm not sure what they could really improve upon)! If it's as durable as it feels, and it lasts a few years, it's definitely worth it! Overall, my pooch and I are really happy with this brush!
