two things to know, first the alarm is not very loud so hope your a light sleeper and 2nd if you don't set the temperature at the beginning from Celsius to farenheight then your out of luck. The directions indicate it will automatically identify your state but mine hasn't.

It is quite a impressive digital alarm clock. Easy to operate it according to the instruction manual. Till now it works great. Nice try!
