Great wee book
Cute book, love the whole collection. We have some in our holiday house for guests to use, and is a great gift for anyone moving.

Great little book
Such a good little book! A nice selection of walks, long and short. Good explanations of directions. Some of the walks are already walks set out by the council/ County / forestry, but that's OK.The only improvement, and this book is not alone, would be a postcode for each walk, just so you can find the start easily. We really enjoyed the Contin forest walk and the Eathie Coast walk. The book is a very good size to carry along whilst walking too.

Works pretty well...
There are some lovely walks in this book around Loch Ness, and the Black Isle areas near Inverness. If you're into the more gentle side of hiking through the Scottish countryside, this is for you. On occasion, I felt some of the information regarding landmarks and so forth, could do with updating, or maybe clarifying as we (occasionally) got lost, but otherwise, well worth the price.

I love these guides!!!
For cyclists like me with creaky knees and two young daughters in tow, I'm looking for a book that covers the territory between hard-core scrambles and tiptoeing through the tulips. Voila! These books (I also own the Loch Lomond book, and am going to purchase the Kyle of Lochalsh and Isle of Skye book) are just what the doctor ordered. There are some tough climbs included, but many of them are fall under the category of "really vigorous walks." Perfect. Along with a smattering of fascinating local history, color photos, and some very precise maps and directions, the Scottish Highlands seem like a prime walking destination. I can't wait!
