I was impressed by the quality of the organic Assam black tea from Young Mountain. It has a bold, balanced, fresh flavor as well as beautiful leaves - I could drink this tea all day long. It brews a lovely cup that's reddish amber in color. I drank it without sugar or milk - it does not need milk to shine. It goes perfectly with afternoon tea and brunch foods. It is also excellent on its own.I loved the sturdy tin and label too. Thank you for sourcing such a great tea! I look forward to trying other teas from Young Mountain Tea.

Delicious, fragrant, beautiful color and lovely packaging. This tea has it all! I brewed the tea exactly per the directions and enjoyed a malty, lightly sweet cup without astringency or bitterness. Great on its own or with milk. This will be a staple in my tea cupboard.

Quite fragrant, strong, aromatic Earl Grey tea straight out of the tin. The loose leaf tea is packaged in a plastic bag with a twist tie, which caught me a bit off guard at first. I was expecting it to be in a vacuum sealed bag. This plastic bag is then placed in a tight sealed tin container. After I got over the loose leaf in a plastic bag, I tried the tea. I noticed the strong aroma even before opening the tin, so it is definitely fragrant. I steeped this for about 5 minutes before tasting. Nice, smooth taste and I can definitely pick up the Earl Grey. My mistake may have been leaving the leaves in the mug as, with time, I did taste some bitterness. I plan to steep for 5 minutes and remove the leaves next time. You can do a second cup with the same tea leaves and the color and flavor is still present.

This tea comes in a beautiful box, tastes delicious, and maybe above all is, is improving women farmer livelihoods in India cup by cup. I can't recommend this tea enough, both as a way to get wonderful tea delivered straight to your door and to contribute to positive change in this world!

Much weaker than what I am used to for making Chai.

A wonderful robust tea with no bitterness. It's freshness reminds me that many of the teas I purchase are a bit old and stale -- and full of tea dust. I'm able to use less of this tea in each pot since it has so much flavor and strength. The lovely tin will keep this tea fresh. Excellent!

Needed a last minute b-day gift for my tea-loving mom. She's picky with tea so I needed something up to her standards (can't disappoint my own mom, right?!) Got this product super-fast in time for the day. As soon as she opened it she loved the tin package, which fits and looks great on her tea shelf and (she said) will keep the tea fresh. She brewed us both cups on the spot and it passed the mom-test with two thumbs up. What a totally awesome birthday gift.

This Young Mountain Tea Organic Assam Loose Leaf Tea feels good quality; however the flavor is not for me. The leaves look clean and consistent. The packaging is simple and professional. This would be a great gift for a tea connoisseur. The flavor is very strong and earthy. It is not a flavor that I prefer. It is much more bitter than the black teas I am used to. Overall, this feels like a good tea for someone else.
